Ok. so. we get the main game and all the halo fans are going into a frenzy on how good the remake is. the game is worth 1000g (250g for multiplayer on top of this). there is still a good 500g worth left to add on, and i think a reasonable idea would be to introduce some campaign DLC that would NOT break canon in any way.
I’ve come up with 3 possible ideas for dlc, two of which could be incorporated into one, all using the expanded stories in the novel of “Halo: The Flood”.
DLC 1:
This would be for those of you familiar with the book, you would take the role of an elite stealthily infiltrating the PoA and goes by the name of “Isna’Nosolee”. he basically uses his active camo to sneak past personal, and eventually hide him self on the lifeboat with Captain Keyes on it. He ends up dieing here where Keyes shoots the elite. It would be fairly short, consisitng of one mission, and it would be a more stealthy approach to the level, as the elite has no sheilding and is just like the invis elites on Halo CE. it could show a bit more of the covenant side and how they opperate, with this elite picking his fights and hiding in the shadows. there could even be a point where the elites passes right past the cheif and you have to avoid him. and another point where you see 5 grunts (one of them Yayap!) draging a special ops elite to safety (another book reference). the eilte you play as dies in the end, but it gives an idea of how the captain is captured as they know where he is. there could be a long cutscene made showing the captain’s capture a couple hours later!
DLC 2:
This would be directly taken from the halo graphic novel, and for all you Johnson fans out there. you take the role of Sgt Johnson as his squad of marines invade the flood facility, playing out the sections that are seen in Jenkin’s helmet cam, it would be very similar to how 343 GS plays, but with more mist and more mystery around it. you would have no sheild, but health, and you don’t come across any enemies until the flood get released. you would then fight off the flood, with your ar and pistol, and get the hell out of there as the last surviving marine, and see the captain get dragged off. you would see Jenkins get infected, and you would run away to stay alive. it could truly bring back the survival feeling of the flood, and finally tie up how johnson escapes for those who don’t read the books.
DLC 3:
This would be the longest one of the 3. You would take control of Lt. Melissa Mckay and be part of Major Silva’s odst squad when trying to take alpha base on the halo ring. it would be 3 missions long, and i the first mission it would be taking back alpha base, checking rooms, working with the marines, and making sure everything is secured. you would then head off to the pillar of autumn in a warthog with a few other warthogs, and basically slavage supplies in the now covenant controlled PoA. after fighting through the Autumn the mission would end with your surviving squad heading back to alpha base in the warthogs.
Mission 2 would be where the covenant assault aplha base, but are interrupoted when the flood join the party half way. it would be a massive 3 way battle, last seen in halo 3 and and couple parts in halo 2. it would be a long battle, but you would be able to use vehicles to take out the forces. the mission would end with the squad capturing the floodified Jenkins, and locking down the flood hole in the bottom of slpha base
Mission 3 would be the final push. humands are attempting to retake the Truth and Reconcilliation, and you board it by banshees that you stole. you would battle flood as well as covenant, and take the ship by force with your marine squads. there would be an easter egg where you see the proto-gravemind with the hole in (as this is set after the mission Keyes in the main campaign) and you would have to secure the TaR. the mission would end with Mellisa realising that the flood can’t be allowed to leave the ring, and instead of heading back to earth in all the glory, the captured flood Jenkins and mellisa blow up the TaR by severing a power line with the frag grenade. in this dlc you would’t have a sheild either, but maybe some sort of armor packs (like health packs) could be introduced for the marines to pick up so it isn’t too hard.
What do you people think? there could be new skulls and achievemnts added and it would complete the original halo and tie up all the plot holes without breaking canon! (this took a long time to type out)

Dp you think this could happedn 343i? it could serve as a sort of sequel to ODST with the squads you work with!
where we have to play as a marine!!
