Hey

I got Halo 4 at launch and started playing the campaign. When I get to certain part in the first mission, it hangs on a in game loading screen and then takes me back to the main menu. Sometimes it takes me back to the main menu when I try to load a previous save. This even occurred once in multiplayer after the match loaded (the unsc logo). The game does not crash (it did freeze once) but takes me to the start screen (“press start”).

I tried installing the game but it the install fails (says disc is dirty but its not).

About an hour ago I went to gamestop and got the disc replaced but I have not been able to test the new disc because I am at work.

I was wondering (and kinda hoping) someone else has a problem like this and knows what is up.

NOTE: I have a white xbox (not slim).

My disc 2 kept saying “Disc unreadable.” Took it back to gamestop and they opened a new game and swapped the disc 2 for me.

I have a similar problem with Campaign (other modes I’m not sure, though Forge worked the one time I used it). At certain points it just quits to the main menu and a bunch of times its just frozen. Installing it seems to have helped, I’m not sure to what degree though.

This sounds like what happens to me. Do you have a slim xbox or a old white one?

I’m having the same issue. I can play Wargames but no campaign. Won’t even let me install disc one to my HD. I was able to install disc two no problem but I can’t play the campaign. I purchased the LE so I don’t know if its an LE issue or just a random disc problem.

I have the standard edition. I can play “some” of the campaign but not past a certain point.

I have the same problem xbox 360 slim black. Clicking start campaign returns me to title screen

looks like 343 have their own myth 2 curse now. this worries me i orderd from amazon and if that disc is yoinked! then i cant just take it to gamestop.

I had this problem with other games so I bought a laser lens cleaner disk and the games play now. Something to try out

I’d really like to play 343, please look into this.

Disc 2 constantly gets failed to install message. Not very happy at the moment.

for you guys who are playing campaign are you playing alone or with a friend?

Disc 2 installed for me. Campaign doesn’t work solo or CO-Op

I am having the same issue. Played Mission1 no problem but can’t load Mission 2 no matter what. Keeps sending me back to home screen. War Games has been working fine though. Installing to HDD didn’t help.

I never had this problem. I hope everything gets taken cared of though.

Also having an issue.

Campaign mode, solo, new console (360 Slim), disc two installed successfully.

During campaign, I have no issues, until the fourth mission (where chief jumps into the portal), where I am immediately brought back to the main screen.
The game will not load the fourth mission.
When I select “Campaign”, as to go back and manually select a level, it will load until about 95%, where it will then restart, until I get a message saying “Failed to load content. Player may be missing downloadable content.”

Any ideas?

READ THIS POST

I get the “disc is unreadable” message basically every other time I finish a matchmaking game. I also get it when I quit to go to the main menu to switch between campaign and multiplayer.

I called xbox support about an hour ago. The lady answered and literally asked before I had a chance to talk “is this about halo 4”.

Apparently every person she had talked to that night was having the same issue.

I’m having the same problem happening to me when I try to play a Spartan Ops game. Keeps taking me back to the main menu.
