Which difficulty do you plan on starting with for the campaign.
For me, Normal, just because I don’t want to get tied up at any point and delay the story, but Easy just feels… wrong, ya know?
I always start on legendary, usually co-op at first, then later when I need a break from multiplayer I go back and beat it solo.
I may solo it on easy or normal for the story, then move on to heroic for co-op.

Because I’m going to have Linda, Fred, and Kelly at my side I’m feeling brave enough to play on Normal for my first playthrough.
Normal or Heroic, then speedrunning Legendary for the bonuses and achievements.
Legendary, solo and co-op.

Heroic or normal, I would like to do legendary first time but you sometimes end up not playing as the campaign is intended when you find a particularly tricky spot. Depends how hard heroic is on this campaign!
I always have done normal to take in the story without getting frustrated at points. But I think I might start on heroic this time.
If I get Halo 5, I am playing it on either Easy or Legendary. There are merits to exploring on these difficulties, as well as speedrunning. Normal and Heroic don’t seem to have changed much in terms of difficulty. I guess Heroic could be considered realistic, I might give that a go at least once.
Solo Heroic so I can have a slight challenge while finding the Intel / Skulls, and accomplishing achievements.
If I played any lesser difficulty, the enemies would simply be too easy and be very boring game play.
Heroic always heroic first. That to me is the canonical difficulty. Then I will do a legendary playthrough straight after. =-)

I agree with Heroic being the difficulty the game should be lore wise as enemies are reasonably powerful, yet we are a lethal force to be reckoned with as well.
Solo Legendary, then Co-op Heroic.

Heroic run through, then Legendary.
