This isn’t a “must-have” feature, but I’m wondering if you guys think this should be added, maybe in a future title:
— Grant players the options to change the Difficulty or the Skulls while still in-game.
Only grant achievements when everything is already pre-determined at start.
I don’t know about difficulty but changing skulls without restarting the level is a must-have.
Halo 2 allowed us to turn on/off skulls without restarting the level and that made setup results more enjoyable. And who could forget the perma-camo glitch? Lots of old skool Halo 2 trickers have used this glitch might I add.
Halo 3/ODST/Reach has this difficulty -Yoink!- that prohibits turning on/off skulls unless you restart the level, making setup results (AI collections, launches, AI battles) unpleasant to enjoy, due to the added difficulty (Grunts require additional headshot, Grunts often blow themselves up, needler is even worse pos since enemies dive from it more).
Clearly, changing skulls could be done mid-game, as seen by Halo 2’s dev trainers (or am I mistaken here?).
