Campaign Co-Op Flight Feedback – Mission Replay

Enjoying the game in co op but the main and most practical changes, revolve around enemy scaling, in terms of enemy AI.

For bosses this was done quite well, however enemy encounters need tuning.

I think we just need more enemy density, when running through co op.

It would be good to know what changes were made to enemy ai based on number of players in co op too.

Also vehicle damage still needs tweaking, as the low durability kind of limits the fun we can have in co op.

I love the mission replay idea! I haven’t tried it yet, I am about 4 hours in as of this post and having a ton of fun!

I would like to see a theatre option for co-op replays theatrical content effects for us to share on social media!
( e.g. I was playing with a few others and was having a blast and decided to rocket jump off a razorback with my teammates in it. I missed the opportunity to clip the moment and would have loved to have gone back, seen a free camera and my teammates camera angles for posting )

I would also like the option to use my own armor core from the multiplayer, as it would no doubt have a more interpersonal experience beyond the Chief’s perspective.

Lastly it would be great to see an adjustment to the number and level exchange of enemies per the amount of players on a fireteam for a game that was primarily built for a single player experience, and see LASO re-become a real challenge for groups.

In the same vein as Mission Replay, there has to be the Revert Checkpoint feature. Every other Halo game has had this, Infinite has to have this feature too.

UX Improvements - Revert to last checkpoint

I found myself having to intentionally be killed or suicide in order to revert to the previous checkpoint.
Be it to fix a mistake or obtain a certain weapon or vehicle.

  • Suggest a “Revert to previous Checkpoint” option in the Pause Menu.

As it is right now, the lack of this option greatly hinders the flow of the game and makes things less enjoyable when you need to take time and steps to do something that can easily be an option, and has been in previous Halo games.
Hopefully, this was just removed for the Flight and will be in the release build :crossed_fingers:

I originally completed the campaign on Game pass for PC. Eventually purchased the game for Series X. My old saves show up on my Series X, but they don’t show up here for whatever reason so I can’t test the mission replay feature.

The Flight’s are separate from the release game
So you won’t have cross save support

Gotta start from scratch and replay once you beat missions

Also, 343 really needs to find a way to make loading into a Campaign scenario much faster. They were able to make the UI elements load faster, bringing the total time down from 40 to 20 seconds. There’s no excuse as to why they couldn’t do something similar for campaign.

And don’t just overlay one loading screen over another. We all know they did that when they put on the “Lone Wolves” loading screen for multiplayer. That’s just lazy. Create a new loading screen, and replace the old one.

Ah okay, thanks for clearing that up for me. Guess I’ll start a new game!

I love the flight test so far though did a little amount of coop and I was kinda disappointed that I couldn’t call in vehicles I unlock in the FOB but hopefully that get changed as I can request HVT that I got unlock. But I really love the mission replayability to replay all missions and the best part is bringing in any weapons and it was very cool and I had a blast recently replaying mission one the warship mission on heroic with bandana skull and only using the blademaster sword (Bloodmaster sword) and Eshurim Gravity hammer (Devour of hope) And it was a fun challenge. As I hope this ability stays at release.

My request of change is let us have a army of marines of each chief have 5 marines each. Or at least 10 marines, and can you guys make the marines be able to ride on the side of the scorpion? As every halo game let marines and ODST ride on the side of the scorpion in CE, 2, 3, ODST, REACH, 4, and halo 5.

But otherwise keep it up and just keep how the ability is for mission replayability. Will have more feedback bout COOP in general soon.

I tried to repeat a mission, but there is still no possibility to insert the skulls? I had collected 1 along with a friend, but I can’t find any way to repeat a mission by inserting the skulls.
That you know is a feature that will be added or will we be forced to make a “New game”?

Personally I haven’t had any issues with the coop campaign and everything seems to be working fine. The only gripe I have is that no extra codes were given out so I can’t play with all my buddies. I am really happy to be playing Infinite’s campaign in coop finally, pretty damn good time.

I play Infinite through game pass on pc, unfortunately I do not own the campaign through Steam, and when I installed Halo Insider with the provided key it would not launch (I had reinstalled at least the base free Halo Infinite on Steam). Is there any way I can get the build on my Game Pass PC version? When I checked the FAQ it just explained how to get into it on Xbox consoles through the Xbox Insider app, not on PC.

We need to be able to play couch co-op too if not halo is taking a couple steps of progress back and pooping on it

When playing with a new co op partner that hasnt played (or is behind you in the story)…are you forced to play their current save point? In the pre launch screen, even though it shows both of our saves we have selected to play…it will only launch in to the least progress mission point.

So if we add another buddy that hasn’t played at all…yet me and another friend are halfway through the game, it seems to force us to start over and couldn’t figure out mission select.

When me and my team all die the game gets stuck in a endless loading screen doesn’t end and we have restart our games this happens in my series s and the 2 of my friends are on PC which can run halo fine

Everything is very confusing, even the menu, they should give us free choice…

Stopped at the mission where you have to disable the 3 Forerunner towers. Played on Heroic with 3 friends.

Maybe we should’ve played on Legendary, or maybe it’s simply because the Campaign is clearly designed for 1 Master Chief instead of 4, but the playthrough was really easy. Buffing enemies (either in damage, health, or both) with scaling depending on how many players there are would really help.

The only issue I saw was an upgrade being delayed. We all unlocked the Grapple Shot upgrade where you can punch at the same time. However, for a solid 5 minutes we couldn’t get it to work. Then suddenly all 4 of us were punched. Comedic timing, but clearly the game hadn’t registered for a good moment that any of us had unlocked the ability.

Keeping weapons when you get “teleported” back to your friends makes sense, but keeping them when you die by a Banished or even a teammate doesn’t. Adds very little consequence to each death.

Loved what I’ve played so far, I’m about two hours in and enjoying it very much.

Issues I have come across so far :
Heroic was too easy while legendary felt like a good middle ground for player experience. Just simple balancing to make up for the added players.

After the very first mission we had a disconnection error during the cutscene where you get into the pelican. We rebooted and started at a very close checkpoint so it wasn’t too bad.

When doing a marine rescue we died just when the marines would have been saved. Reloaded and the marines were imprisoned again, and when rescued the mission did not complete.

Keeping guns is very handy after death and respawn, but if both weapons are empty it would be nice to have at least a clip to kill an enemy with. Spawning and having zero bullets in the middle of a firefight is no fun.

Can’t wait to replay some missions and collect the skulls

When I loaded up for first time the game doesn’t have continue option and also not showing my battle pass data,even prompting me to buy again. Only option is new game.
