Just to add my voice, entered the “battle of the 3 wardens” section of chap14 (I believe) and died rather quickly - exited out to dashboard, can’t continue. Poor show, to be frank.

I really wish we’d get an ETA on this. I understand that finding the problem, developing a fix, and then going through QA takes some time but a game breaking bug like this should be top priority and a fix should be pushed out ASAP. It really seems like a very widespread bug as I’ve seen several posts on it here, on Twitter, on Reddit, and on NeoGAF. I can’t imagine how frustrated I would be if I just bought the game only for it to continually crash on me. MCC left me a little jaded as I ran into almost the same problem there and (to my knowledge) it was never fixed so I never finished my legendary run on Halo 4. The fact that the update also broke the bookmark function in Theater and also removed all my previous bookmarks also makes me think this update needed more time in QA as these are pretty big oversights.
There really is no accountability so no one cares. You can’t get a refund so no one is losing money and by the time the next halo show up people will have hopefully forgotten about the fact that they could not even play Halo 5. Unfortunately for 343 people like me had the same problem with MCC so, just as George W Bush so elequantly put it, Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. (maybe he didn’t quite put it like that…) Oh how i miss Bungie

I have had a good 2 hour session this evening with no crashing issues even testing to the point of getting myself killed on purpose to ensure the quick fix has worked.

Think I’ll finish my campaign run on Legendary, Solo BEFORE accepting this update as I honestly don’t trust that something else won’t fail after installing it!!! And I don’t feel like wasting even more time!!!

One other thing I’d like to say about this is that it’s great you have a fix and all, but it’s been a week since this issue reared its ugly head. You made one comment about it, basically saying that you are aware of its existence. Then that was it. No progress updates, no continued acknowledgement, nothing.
We understand that a fix wasn’t going to be instantaneous and that it might take time, but some communication while waiting is all we’re asking for for crying out loud!!!

Thank you for the patch, I was literally one checkpoint away from finishing my legendary campaign, job well done, my thanks again.
I’m glad I held out then. Really didn’t want to restart the mission. Thanks 343. I knew you’d get around to fixing it. 
same issue here…
i even uninstalled it and resinstalled it. on Enemy Lines it wont go pass it.
I paid $250.00 and i cant pass that level and I didnt even get a Hard Copy Disc!!!
the hot fix update is currently at 2846% and won’t finish updating. i can’t play the game. this is irritating.
i’m really close to trading this game in. devs can’t even make an update that finishes at 100%
i am returning it.
after the masterchief collection now we have this, those guys are a bunch of amateurs.
The quick fix 343 suggested doesn’t work for me.Even when I die after restarting the loading still fails.
I am having the same problem, if I die during the campaign it crashes and sends me back to xbox home and then it will not load at all. The only way I can get it to work is if I restart the entire campaign and hopefully not die. Has there been any attempt from Microsoft to fix this glitch?

Ok, so much for that idea. You have to download the update. If you don’t, you go back to the dashboard. Good/lucky news is that it worked for me. So far anyway. I will say, the very short session that I played real quick I didn’t die, but only went to the next checkpoint and quit for the night. Hmm, I’ll have to test this and see if I get kicked out after dying like others are reporting…
