So I am in the process of going through every Halo campaign mission and completing it on Legendary. It was none other than the infamous and brutal “The Covanant” this time.
Having fought across the beaches, up the hill to the first tower (many deaths here), racing down to the Hornet, around the cliffs to the second tower (many many deaths here), out past all the Flood, onto the warthog, then through the mountain. Once through the mountain, past the wraiths, and onto the second Hornet, and having taken down the two Scarabs (after many many many deaths) I finally progressed into the final citadel. I pushed along the indoor bridge up to the cutscene at the end!
But the cutscene never came. Instead I got a blackscreen, accompanied by the monotonous noise of crashing. The pause menu wont open when you press start; the blackscreen is identical to how it was when it first happened. I have done hard reboots of my Xbox, quit and reopened the game, and am all out of ideas about trying to fix this. If 343 or any community member has had somthing similar happen or knows of a way of fixing this broken checkpoint without having to restart and repeat the mission, then please let me know!
Truthfully I’m very frustrated with the Master Chief Collection. This isn’t the first time it has crashed or been unresponsive with me, and that’s forgetting about the months worth of catastrophic online multiplayer. Never have I been so disillusioned with a game that I loved so much.
My fingers are crossed for a swift resolution, and for Halo 5.
Happy Easter Monday All!
