I’ve noticed that there are some audio balancing issues throughout the campaign, especially in “The Maw,” where the music overpowers the dialogue to a point where it’s hard to hear. There’s also a problem in the final cutscene with two music tracks playing at the same time, which pretty much ruins the scene(especially since it’s the last one).
I was wondering if anyone else noticed, and if 343 wouldn’t mind considering patching it(at least the final scene) or giving us the ability to adjust audio levels ourselves.
Realistically it’s unlikely they’ll do anything. They for sure won’t add additional interface and update the code to let you adjust the balance manually.

That’s an issue that’s always been in the game. Take your time toward the start of the level to make sure that the “incorrect” song triggers at its proper point, which is when you head to the ship’s bridge. That seems to usually make it work correctly for me.
When The Maw works well, its music design is genius.
As for the uneven balancing, yeah, the sound balance is pretty weird, and bafflingly so for some noises.
I haven’t heard anything major since my first playthrough but I did hear a loud crashing sound during the bridge/343 cutscene. What I still hear constantly though is the “running in place” comical sound when a Flood is nearby. It sounds like I should be watching the Flintstones or something.
