As anyone who played Reach will know, Active Camo is meant to replace the players blip on the mini-map with a blue blip, surrounded by other, moving ‘false’ blips.
This, however, is not always working as intended. I just got killed by a guy who popped out in front of me with active camo…which was a surprise, as there were no dummy blips at all. So, with Camo not working as intended, he was totally invisible from the map.
This is probably why people are saying that it’s OP’d. If it’s bugged and doing this to people then, yeah, when it does this it IS OP’d. But it shouldn’t be doing this sort of thing.
Needs looking into.
One of my friends ran into this problem. I assumed that the blue dots didn’t appear due to latency issues but he said this wasnt the case and thought the player using AC was using hacks.
the camo isnt OP but is unbalanced, there no down side. it should scramble the users radar so it takes way from campers or should only scramble it while the user is still.

Uh…it DOES scramble the users radar. If it’s not, that again is a bug.
The other downside is (or SHOULD be, see above) that the enemy knows you’re coming and that you are cloaked, because they can (should) be able to see all the dummy blips come up.
Usually they do come up, but if they’ve not been coming up for people then, yeah, that’s a bug that makes the AA unbalanced.
This would also be an optimal solution. 343 wasn’t thinking when they brought back Camo on spawn for Halo 4. It works best as a power up, hell it can even be an Ordnance drop at this point (at leas then players still have to earn it). Make it very rare and with the random weightings so that to counter act camo-sniping abuse.
I’ve ran into this issue quite a few times, completely ridiculous. A few times it didn’t even show the enemy on the radar, and he was moving and walking around un-crouched.
This and same with the boltshot. Camo+boltshot makes me want to reach through my tv and punch the guy using it in the face repeatedly. And with 343i closing the skill gap in this game, there are A LOT of players using this combo.

then its very bugged. yes it has those blue dots but its not scrambled and you can still see the radar just fine and see enemies coming and then wait for them to walk by for cheap kills.
