It’s -Yoinking!- boring and makes the game -Yoinking!- stupid. 343 bang on about wanting this game to be noob friendly yet refuse to do anything about camo being overused and making games absurdly frustrating. Invisible snipers miles away you can do nothing about? That sounds fun!
How about instead of whining like a 4 year old, you propose an idea to make camo more balanced.
Make it a powerup instead of an armor ability.
Invis snipers are noobs, so it is still noob friendly.

Now that’s better. I do agree with your 2nd point though. I liked camo better as a powerup.
a more easy solution than rage…
nerf the duration of the AA, they are going to use it just a few secs and back off if they don’t wanna get killed.
if u think the camo is yoink in Halo, u never played Crysis then, the only way to counter a camo guys is the armor or camo yourself.
and the camo is the 3 times more overused in that game.

I suggest that they should start by fixing the radar glitch, and after that make it as it was in Reach, if not completely remove it.
Reach’s camo also jammed the camo user’s radar.
On a side not, It’s literally a coin flip right now, since you can’t predict a camo user because the radar will rarely jam, due to the glitch.
I like how the URL isn’t yoink’d out.
Camo is great for sniping. 343 should add Camo to Team Snipers.

Too many people like active camo. That’s probably why 343 refuses to remove it. That and it’s an original armor ability.

no thats a silly thing to do, “oh make it more balanced by reducing the time blahblah”, we have seen these posts a million times, and i think if this guy is having issues with players using it then let him share his complaints
Camo is much less effective as it was in reach. Those blue dots scramble? Helpful?
Its because people use it like pansies, I love using camo to slowly enter the middle base of vortex while the enemies are shooting my team mates and sneak in to assassinate them.
Really if people used it to get closer and really mess with others heads instead of sitting way too far back to snipe like wuss’s then it wouldn’t be such a problem.
My 2 cents.
It along with every other AA will never be balanced unless it becomes a map pick up.

There is no way to make it balanced. It already is. Giving it a down grade would make it completely useless. People who think Active Camo is over powered:
A. Had a bad game and just want to rage at 343 for something.
and or
B. Enjoy joining band wagons.
Its an AA ability that I see very few people using and when they are it’s easy to spot them because you can see their out line and you can’t crouch in one place and camp with it because it scrambles people’s radars giving them an idea of where you are.

C. Use Promethean Vision and now rely on it like a crutch instead of surveying the Battlefield. He shouldn’t kill more than one person on your team before he’s down…
For those of you that say that the OP’s just whining, I have to say while it looks like it, I fully understand his frustration with camo. Camo shouldn’t be used at will. And even though I have no problem countering it at close range, it can be annoying as hell with people that over use it. Combined with all other small things that add to mounting frustration in one given game (DMR, camo, game’s lagging, JIP, ramdom drops and ordnance…) well you get threads about people who get angry. And you get lots of 'em.
Whenever I see someone abusing camo or PV I’m like “you cheap Yoink!”.
We all have these small things that get to us.
I DESPISE CAMO. IF YOU USE CAMO YOU ARE LAME. 343, CAMO THREATENS TO RUIN MATCHMAKING. SERIOUSLY.
No but seriously, people who complain about active camo have every right to. It is the most annoying, camper-encouraging, game-pace wrecking ability by FAR. How does it make the game fun when you spend half your game HUNTING a team of camo using brats?
