In fact, just remove AA’s from the game. They ruin it. The fact that I have to use promethean vision to counter camo is ridiculous. I should not have to use my AA in a defensive role to counter the most abused mechanic in this game. It is overpowered.
No, there is an easier solution: learn to play instead of running at camo players like an idiot. It’s already so easy to see them, as they aren’t so much invisible. And ehy, camo is a passive bonus, no help to attack, it helps only to avoid the fight untill you are ready and get advantage of that.

I was a 50 in Halo 3 in several playlists and I played H2 competitively as well. You can go to hell with your learn to play comments.

When you are in a situation in which there is more than one enemy around camo is going to get you everytime.

Everything done with a team is going to get you everytime. Maybe becouse of that you are playing with a team too.
Whether or not Active Camouflage can be countered easily is a moot point and comments such as “Learn to play” are missing the mark entirely. What Xplosive is saying (and I agree with him) is that the fun of the game is diminished by its presence. When I’m driving a car, I can avoid any pedestrians who happen to be standing in the middle of the road, but I sure as hell don’t want them there in the first place.

This is a good reasonable post, even if I don’t agree with, you wrote something smart instead of just complaining. My congratulations.
Btw, only becouse “takes out the fun”, it’s not a reason to remove it. For camo players must be fun to use it, and you would be asking to remove their fun? who are you to get fun instead of them? The problem is that a competitive game will always make happy who wins and sad who loses. There is no way to make everyone happy.
When I played earlier, my camo was working.
Try rebooting your xbox, if that fails, microwave your Halo 4 disk for 1 minute. That should fix your broken camo.

After scanning your matchmaking record, it is clear that you use camo as a crutch.

Umm… Isn’t that the whole point of Promethean vision? To use defensively to protect yourself from enemy attack/ambush?
PV can’t see camo uses useless they changed it in the last 2 .
OT I have no problems fighting camo users it not hard.

Or you can use it to ambush people who are camping around corners.
The only people I have seen defending active camo are the people who camp with it and need it as a crutch.
I’m not saying everyone wants it removed, many people are indifferent. But the only ones who want it to stay, are the ones who need to invis camp with a boltshot, or invis camp across the map with a sniper rifle.
I’m so tired of at least two, sometimes all four of my enemies running active camo. It really ruins the game.
Active camo does the following
- Slows the game down sooooo much (active camo guy in the room? Better not run in, he’ll definitely get the drop on you, and probably kill you.)
- Slows the game down even more, if you’re using active camo… you’re crouch walking… that is if you’re moving at all
- Allows bad players to sit across the map and snipe with no fear of being killed
- Allows bad players to abuse the boltshot even more
Just remove it 343. I don’t love the introduction of AA’s… but I can live with them and adapt. All of them except camo.
TL;DR
SOMETHING THAT WAS A POWER PICKUP IN HALO 3 SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO ALL BADDIES AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON
