So I was looking at the active camo really carefully during nak3d Eli’s gameplay and I noticed a a small group of dots appearing right when he used it gameplay (active camo begins at 13:00) I then tweeted him if AC still had radar jammer and this was his answer
It looks a lot less toned down then Reach, I think it looks better, but ya it’s in.
yea it looks better than it did in reach. though after some time reaches camo radar was alot more readable at a certain point.
> It looks a lot less toned down then Reach, I think it looks better, but ya it’s in.
Yeah noticed that too and hey we can’t have people going invisible without some risk to themselves : D
I’m so glad that the radar jammer is toned down. I hate fighting a full team that only uses active camo in Reach.
From what I see , how does it jam if the dots are blue?
Interesting. It has blue dots on it. That seems kind of pointless, doesn’t it? Moving enemies show up as red dots, so how is a blue one supposed to fool anyone? In Reach it was useful because the whole radar got filled up with red dots, and unless you were really keen on tracking, you couldn’t tell which one was real.
I don’t see how this radar jammer is going to be useful at all.
Why can’t we just have full camo and no radar jammer?
> Why can’t we just have full camo and no radar jammer?
I can agree with that. Being completely invisible but not appearing on radar. but of course when you shoot your gun you will come out of it or when you mive it will reveal you a little. but then that could cause some trouble with campers and so forth.
Seems more like a notification of “Oh, there’s an Active Camo guy in the vicinity” than any actual radar jamming, which IMO is a good thing.

I’m pretty sure that’s just for the player and his teammates, they’re probably red dots for enemies. That’s what I hated about the jammer in Reach, if you saw a jammer on radar, you couldn’t tell if it was a friendly cloaked or an enemy, they must have fixed that for 4.

Same
I saw blue dots when he used it. It doesn’t make much sense unless I’m looking at something wrong.

So camo that distinguishes a friend for teammates, but appear red for enemies. That’s pretty cool. Now I don’t have to yell at people and tell them to “turn that -Yoink- off!! I can’t see.”

LOL you and me both, it was super annoying looking behind to see if it was a team-mate using it or an enemy
I was really hoping for no jammer.
I think the blue dots just blur the actual radar, and make it harder to notice other red dots
Sighhsss… Why not leave active Camo as a pickup like previous Halos?
> I’m glad it’s in, hopefully it won’t be like it was in reach where what you saw on your screen was different then what everybody else did.

> It was by far the least useful AA even before they nerfed it in the TU.
It was the one of the only AAs, along with hologram, that actual required a large amount of skill and thought to use.
