Stop the camo campers!!
but in all seriousness nothing makes me more angry than when someone does this. Personally I think that camo should become an ordinance drop ability like overshield.

They aren’t that hard to counter, plus you can tell when someone with active camo is near you since your radar gets a lot of little blue dots on it and at the center of those blue dots is the guy with active camo.

Yup. I thought they would have learned from Reach. I was wrong.

Yeah if they’re using assassin, there is no warning or detection. Stop with this tired -Yoink- defense of something that has no business in any type of multiplayer game.
Agreed it’s rather lame & it should still be a map pick-up. I played the most boring Halo game of my life last weekend with a full team of try hards using Active Camo swords and shotguns/scattershot that wouldn’t leave one of the rooms on complex. We even taunted them to come out and none would becaue thier crutch wouldn’t help them then.
Sounds like some people are mad they got owned.
How did they all get Swords/Scattershots/Shotguns?
Promethean Vision can reveal them if they slip up in the room, at least giving you a general idea of where they’re camping (though they can still elude it somewhat).
Grenade spam to make them move also helps pinpoint them. thruster Pack can dodge close range insta-kill weapons.
I mean I know how hard it can be when you face a coordinated team using that kind of strategy but there really easy an answer for things like this.
Promethean Vision, Awarness and Pulse grenades should do the trick. Have fun crouching in the corner with a sword as two pulse grenades go off.
Hey guys, you do know OP is talking about Camo snipers right? As in hiding on big maps with camo where you can’t see blue dots or spam them with nades. Let’s at least read before we post.
I was replying to the scenario posted above.
Hello there friends! I am an avid user of the active camo, so let me just break down some - alternative - uses than what have been displayed (the video was hilarious by the way).
Most useful: Following your shields being popped there is a ~5 second delay before they recharge. During this time, crouch, go camo, wait for them to run by you confused. (Following the 5 seconds, you’re on your own, the recharge reveals camo).
Snipers. As stated above, camo is undetectable across the map. In games such as Valhalla where it is a cross-map DMR-fest, camo is your best friend, lover, and potentially cousin.
That dude has a sword! Cool story, go camo and wait for him to walk by you…confused.
Per say you want the Venator helmet. Problems solved (about a month quicker).
This game is starting to become a who-shot-first type game, so camo allows you to get the first shot off
— Okay so maybe my only valid points were the first and fifth ones, but let me point out counters —
-Promethian Vision
-Pulse Grenades
-Basic Eyesight
-Awareness of your surroundings
-Distortions walking towards you, namely your back
-Awareness
-Automatic Weaponry
-Communication (Hey dude I got assassinated at X)
-Other Grenades
-Jaws Music
Agreed. Active camo is so annoying. I make it my mission to DESTROY anyone who uses it in a game.

Since when was this implemented?

It’s a personal touch.
Should be an Ordinance drop without a doubt. Most annoying thing in this game right now. Fishsticks use camo.
The most recent time I played Infinity Slayer was at a buddy’s house the other day and it was the last time I think I’ll ever play it on Halo 4. After five games in a row where an opposing team made little effort to move anywhere, we played the worst, sixth game. The game ended with our team garnering 1 kill and the other team having 0. With five or so seconds left all I could see in two spots on the map was a flurry of rocket and incineration explosions that ultimately hit nothing.
It wasn’t even that bad on Reach at its peak of camp-happy losers. Team Slayer has been sentenced to the graveyard.
The worst part about halo reach was all the people -Yoinking!- and whining and crying and preaching to high heaven…
I do not want to see this in halo 4. Stop crying and play the game.
Promethean and a grenade. Tears them apart every time.

This.
343i did an excellent job with this game. There is balance to everything if teams actually work together.
Key is: Use. Your. Mics. Amazing how many rooms I am in and no one is using a mic. Hello?
Halo without a mic is like the 3 Stooges without a good eye poke followed by a Curly Shuffle.

Unfortunately there is really no reason to plus your mic in. I hate talking to random people, because there is always that one -Yoink- who is playing music, has dogs, or a wife complaining about something stupid. To a degree it’s understandable, but at a certain point it’s just annoying. With that said, a competitive playlist cough encourages everyone to plug in and communicate. This would be the downfall of camo really.
