Came across my first de-ranker in Breakout. For those of you who don’t know what that is, they’re people who shot you to get you to kill them, resulting in you getting booted, counting as a loss, bringing down your rank. Worst part? Still lost the match, even after my team went on a winning spree.

I’ve seen players with 3-4 KD and Playing on Bronze…Great stats and playing in the lowest leauge…That’s a De-Ranker?
Best thing to do OP is just ignore them, don’t play into their game and kill them as the more you do and the more you get booted, the higher the chance you have of being temporarily banned from matchmaking. Report their gamertag at the end of the match and let the XBox team deal with the trolls 
They can still only de-rank so far in that specific rank. For example someone will not be able to de-rank from gold to iron. They will remain a low gold. So anyone that is already the lowest level of that rank, will not go any lower and will eventually get banned for attempting to constantly de-rank.

A de-ranker is someone who will commit suicide to bring down the teams score and thus get de-ranked.

A deranker is someone who throws games in order to drop his own rank, so that he gets matches against lower-leveled opponents. Vrruumm’s appellation for what your experienced is more accurate: This is a form of trolling.
You can report players for multiplayer misconduct through the social app. Might want to take advantage of that facility.
