Well, people have been very distressed with this photo. It looks like the Reach after game screen, where one would usually receive credits. STOP FREAKING OUT.
I have actually noticed 2 things that suggest a halo 3 style exp rank up system is back!
(please note, the conclusions drawn from this photo are my opinionated assumptions)
1: In the photo, the right side of the white bar (at the bottom of the screen) seems to be glowing or swelling, indicating that it had just increased in size. I believe this is your spartan points bar. 2: In the top right of the tv screen you can see quite clearly: " Total XP +0".
If I am correct (and I might not be): because he gained spartan points (the white bar) and didn’t gain XP, it shows that a win based rank up system could be back.
they renamed cR to XP…
Doesnt change the fact that this screen is strict from reach with some changes… This will slow down the loading times again.
Its annoying after every game u have to wait until the game loads this stupid screen where u spartan does a pose and u earn the points…
And people. U only earn the spartan points for a rank up. U Rank up with XP.

And, if it isn’t a confirmed fact, and if the white bar in the photo truly represents spartan points (what else could it be) then the fact that 0 Xp was gained shows that they are separate.
But again, just assumptions, not trying to argue or anything

Its a fact. The MP designer said that in one of the gameinformer videos.
That would actually be okay. Include a skill based system for ranked games which resembles Halo 3 and I’ll probably buy the game regardless of the multiplayer mechanics.

I honestly felt like a combination of both the Reach system and Halo 3 system would’ve been best. We earn cR in every playlist that would go towards customization while having 1-50 in certain playlists.
Your overall rank would only reflect how much you’ve played the game, BUT each player would have an overall 1-50 number tied to their rank as well.
This system is still possible though as cR have really just been renamed Spartan Points and we won’t know about how they’ll be treating ranked playlist if they go in the 1-50 direction or Arena-style with seasons.

If we look at the bottom right area, we see a rectangle with a lock. I’m going to assume this is where it shows our Spartan Points winnings and perhaps armor unlock progression.
