Calling all teams! New league for Halo 5

Hello this is a post to inform competitive Halo players and teams about a new league that has formed. It is called the Weekend Gamer League created by the Weekend Gamer website, which is a new website that will cover technology and eSports news and events, as well as review technology and gaming products. The Weekend Gamer will also host “lets plays” and have live Halo gaming sessions via youtube gaming and twitch. The biggest feature of The Weekend Gamer website is the Halo eSports League. The Weekend Gamer League is a online tournament based league that is similar to the HCS. In fact the rules of the WGL hosted tournaments will be based on HCS maps and rules. The season will last about 3 months with atleast 2 Online tournaments per month. In order to join the league your team captain must register your team and your team must participte in atleast one tournament to be added to the league ranks. Teams will recieve WGL points as they win matches in tournament play. The WGL points earned in the tournaments will add up as the season goes on. The top teams with the most points at the end of the season will be invited to play in the Weekend Gamer Finals. The team registration is officially open for our Inaugural tournament, which is schedualed for November 7th, not long after the release of Halo 5. Halo will be the official gmae for season 1 of the Weekend Gamer League. There is more information on the website. If you have any questions please post to this thread or simply email us at weekendgamer2015@gmail.com.

Also check at the website, the site is currently under construction and in the rough stages, but will be completed before the start of the season. The domain name will be WeekendGamer.com but for now it is jtjack47.wix.com/weekendgamer

If you would like to become a Tournament organizer or help with referee, please let me know because we will need you. Tournament Organizers and Referees, will be paid positions in the future. This league could be huge since MLG and Gamebattles dropped Halo from their pro line up. So at the moment this is the only league that is open to amateur teams that also loves the competative scene. This could bring sponsership opportunities and there could also be a LAN tournament hosted in the future but it all depends on how many teams get involved. We are always open to new ideas and if you would like to be apart of this please check out the website. Also please let us know what you think of the idea? Do you think it would thrive in the Halo community?
