the only other game i would want to play is h3 which doesnt have enough people on to play anymore…

I kept calling xbox and complaining over 30 times then got one the next day. 343 should not do anymore stupid promos like this. What a nightmare. You can buy one on ebay for cheap if that helps.

This is what I did too lol, I cussed out a bunch of Xbox support and it was in my messages on Xbox the next day. Trust me OP it works :slight_smile:

yeah, the rep told me they have been overwealmed with calls and had to make 343 do something about it. So keep calling xbox support and complaining so they won’t be allowed to do a stupid promo like this ever again.

Here’s your problem. Never use Microsoft’s phone support. Ever. They now have a way to talk to someone online…either an adviser (non MS employee volunteer that just wants to help) or you can speak with a MS rep.

Also, this is Microsoft’s promotion, Microsoft’s code, and Microsoft’s failing.

You know what 343 does with the complaints? Takes them to Microsoft. Microsoft then hands out the codes. Do yourself a favor and cut out the middle-man. You might not get a code immediately, or at all, but you will have done everything you can. The rest of the world doesn’t even have the opportunity to get the specializations.

They will make them available later on, we just don’t know when. You can either play for fun and not worry about xp, play customs, Forge, campaign, or find something else to do with your time.

I will say it again. 343’s official forums are not sufficiently staffed to handle the number of complaints and customer support issues, there is no support ticket system to organize and serve customers looking for support, and while the efforts of those like BS Angel who do their best to help are commendable and appreciated, they need more people. A lot more.

That Microsoft pawns support for the game off on a message board is a pitiful excuse for customer support in my opinion. This is the flagship title on the platform, and the reason many people will buy it in the first place. It should have world class, industry standard customer support.

… irrelevant. They offered the promo, regardless of the rationale behind it. They offered it in writing. They have a responsibility to honor their commitment to paying customers who took advantage of it.

i talked to two people at xbox… one being the manager and they were both girls… that both said they same thing: they just basically read off of these forums on the thread that was about spec email… and i cut them off and said “yeah i read that a hundred times and posted there already, two weeks ago and still nothing” then she copped an attitude with me saying she didnt understand what i wanted her to do because it wasnt in her power to give me a code, apparently xbox doesnt have codes, she told me it was out of her power and that im screwed

That’s an assumption. Maybe it’s true, maybe it isn’t. I don’t know what their rationale was. Regardless, they offered the promotion. They must honor it, like it or not.
