my friend has read to me the game informer article for Halo 4 and I cant help but think that this game is becoming more and more like Call of Duty which 343 actually stated themselves. The only reason I had an xbox was because Halo was only on xbox. Well now that its become basically Call of Duty Future warfare Im considering getting rid of it. Granted I will give this game a chance, I’ll wait for more videos and hopefully a beta? but as of right now it does not look good for Halo.

You are like the 100th person to do this. Halo is nothing like Call of Duty so stop making stupid posts like “Call of Halo” “Halo Duty: Future Warfare”. CoD is extremely unbalance and they only make the game for money. 343 actually cares about the people and has one of the most balanced modern fps games.

Im sorry that Im not a frequent poster here and didnt see the other threads but anyone who is just accepting what 343 is doing to this series is no true fan of the Halo series. instead of saying “oh man this thread again” you should be fighting to make sure 343 brings an actual HALO experience in the next HALO title. some may think these changes are “refreshing” but are they really when they’ve already been done in other games?
I Might as well make a thread called, “Call of Halo: I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking. and wait til the game comes out”.

everything in the article has already been somewhat talked about by the developers (posts are on neogaf) its mostly out of context and stuff has been changed since that event took place

I think people just use COD as a symbol for generic FPS’s. The new features and game mechanics Halo4 is adopting is turning it in to a generic FPS, one of the reasons Halo was great was because it was different from most other games, now its falling in to the more boring, dull, little kid, no skill, generic FPS pool. Please let us see some new features, the generic stuff is taking over way to much.

There are literally 3 threads on the front page of the Halo 4 forum complaining that it’s turning to COD.

So far from the few seconds of gameplay videos, we’re still capable of jumping more than a few centimeters than Halo, need to go after power weapons, Melee only kills in one shot in the back, and we’re still required to fire more than 1 shot to kill somebody in Halo.
…I think that sounds a lot like Halo to me. 
Do you even notice how vague the article is? We literally got no info out of them.
Even if they ever turned it into CoD (which isn’t possible considering the kill times), there would still be playlists without AA’s and custom loadouts that allow for a classic Halo style.
