I’m sorry guys but I’m done. I can’t take all of this codified halo. Theres WAY too many problems. The menus are extremely huge and clunky, unlike the old halos where there was alot of organization and space. All I see in Halo 4 is a bunch of blue panels that pop up after another. Instead of trying to make the game sound good, they just made everything louder. (Listen to the warthog its just a loud lawnmower that screams into your ears so you cant hear the music or Cortana talking, if you’re playing campaign. The BR just makes an annoying rattling noise like it’s about to break or something). Custom Games is forever ruined, RIP Everything but the DMR, since you spawn with them so theres NO reason to use anything else. In the previous Halos you would spawn with an SMG like Halo 2, or an Assault rifle like Halo 3 or Reach, which caused you, the player to gasp fight for the good weapons and find them on the map! I know that sounds like an outrageous concept who would want to LOOK for weapons when we can just call in our care package killstreak er i mean our “Ordnance”. I have no idea why but they removed the Armor Effects for no reason, the armor in this game looks terrible and plasticky (Seriously what’s up with the Unicorn helmet it looks cool but does NOT fit in with Halo). The DMR is overpowered, why use the BR if they are both 5 shot kill but the DMR has longer range? I don’t want to play Infinity Slayer and go up against an entire team of DMR’ing, Plasma Grenade spamming, Jetpack/Wallhack using noobs. Theres a bunch of terrible perks, and people who suck just run around with sprint and assassinate or double melee you to death. I played a Team Slayer Pro match where all of my deaths were from melee. People will actually have “Tool of Destruction: Melee Kills: 16” on the carnage report. That’s not something to be proud of. Promethean Vision is just wallhack, and thats obviously no fun. For some reason they have markers over everything, I don’t need to be babysitted and guided towards the plasma grenades I can walk over there myself thank you very much. I don’t know, when they update it and fix it I’ll be happy and back but i’m just going to stick with Halo Reach since it has the best forge/custom games (gotta love that race and infection) so far and the matchmaking isn’t geared towards “cowadooty” 10 year olds.

So your mad about melee kills? If thats how the person has the best opportunity to kill you than so be it. I’d like to question why your getting killed by melee so much. It tells me that your not doing something right by letting them get so close enough to you to melee you. I very rarely am able to melee someone, let alone get that close enough without getting killed. If your not watching your back, your going to get melee’d.
I’ll also say what does it matter if they just run around a melee and assasinate people. If you dont like it, stop them, or work ith your team to better counter them. You can’t just expect them to just stop doing it. This isnt some easy game where you just run around, there are multiple ways and opportunities to kill players. There is some technique and planning involved. I can maybe understand if your doing a every man for himself type match, but as for team slayer, I dont understand why your having issues. With team your supposed to stick with your team. The bigger the group the less they will melee you/assasinate you.
As for armor effects, there was really no point in having them aside from being for looks only. They didn’t do anything, so if they removed them to put in something more useful than I applaud them for soing so.
The one thing I can agree on is that the DMR does seem overpowered. I totally sucked in reach using the DMR, now it seems like I can get kills very easily. So I dont know if that has to do with being overpowered or just me getting better with it. But yeah, every other weapon seems useless to me in a way…
Are you posting because you think your problems with every aspect of the game are going to be changed? This forum is for a problem that 343 could maybe address in a TU. You have a list that’s so long, it’s pretty clear you don’t like the game at all.

Thats just it, its just another generic shooter. I havent bought a CoD game since the first black ops. Why? because EVERYONE and their mother played it and buys it, turing it into a cash grab for IW and Craptivison. Nevermind I think Activision is a greedy money hoarding company who likes to charge for everything but the kicthen sink.

I havnt seen a single melee fight yet, they all are nothing but dmr and br duels. where did you get melee from?
why all the whining? i am 110% happy with Halo 4. Just to remind you… THIS IS NOT HALO 3! OR 2! OR CE! This is a new game…and i also have had no melee wars… except in flood.
- The UI is a little cluttered, but it’s not horrible.
- Halo 4 has the best audio in the series in my opinion.
- Some of the “classic” style options have been removed from customs but there is still plenty to tinker with. As for not having Assault, that does stink.
- The BR and DMR are fine. Also no one fought over them in previous games. They were just there and you picked them up if you could. People fought over power weapons. Being able to spawn with your rifle of choice is awesome if you ask me.
- If your getting double smacked in Halo 4 your doing something wrong as you slow down when shot. As a result its way harder to run around throwing melees than in Reach.
- The art design, graphics, lighting, and what ever else you can think of looks great! This is the best looking game on the 360.
Threads like these are quite prolific, and always head the same way, ending up as very non-constructive with little to no discussion value. So, my apologies, but I’m locking this. Hope you understand. Thanks.
If you don’t like the game sell it back and get Ca££ of Duty.
Just do me a favor and get good at it so you can completely piss off as many people into not playing the game for the next few weeks/months, eventually moving on to the next victim and sabotaging their experience so that they may finally see the light that is emitted from far superior games such as Borderlands 2, the Fallout series, Bioshock series, Dead Space series, Portal 2, the Elder Scrolls, Defense of the Ancients (1 or 2), StarCraft 2, and countless other games that posses the value of X, as in the equation:
X > Ca££ of Duty
Again, if you don’t like it, get CoD, and crush everyone you meet.
