BX combos are a good thing for Halo

I think BX combos need to stay. There is a level of outplay potential added that has been missing since Halo 2. I know the BX combos were an unintended glitch in Halo 2, but it changed the way the game was played for the better, imo. The pacing was much faster, it instantly added a potential to take on more opponents at once.

Glitches aren’t always bad and I think 343i should lean into the BX combos and bring back double shotting as well. Look at what one movement glitch did for Unreal Tournament and Quake. strafe jumping is a core feature in every Quake now. An unintended glitch that made comp matches more fun to play and watch as well as added an extra layer to the skill ceiling. Something to further separate the top tiers of comp play.

What do you guys think?

Sure, if they’re harder to do. The current BXB / BYB double melee in Infinite is broken because it’s so easy to do and gets you a kill in less than a second.

I agree with that. In Halo 2, there was a sweet spot for the BXB. If you did it to fast, the hits wouldn’t count. You had to time it properly so both melees actually registered.

I too like it, but I understand if it has to go. I think I’ve only gotten killed by it once so far (that I’ve noticed) whereas I pull it off on a regular basis. I agree that it helps 2 v1 scenarios quite a bit.
