BWO Razrstorm's thread

This thread will have my wishes, things i don’t like, and some perspective on current topics. Settle in because it will be a long-ish read.

FIRSTLY, this is how ideally my playlist MP menu would be set up:

Basic:
Team slayer
BTB
Team objective
living dead
multiteam

Infinity:
Doubles
lone wolves
Skirmish (mix of slayer and objectives)
Riflemen (swat & snipers)

Community:
MLG
Griffball
Classic Skirmish (mix of slayer and objective)
Action sack

I want people to realize that i chose basic, infinity, and community as names to be new names and things that avoided sounding like it involved rank. Infinity does not mean in my roster that they play with infinity settings. If you can come up with better names that stay away from sounding like involving rank i’d be glad to edit my OP.

SECONDLY, ranking, i would show ranks this way:
In my ideal situation a symbol would be next to your gamertag or on your gamer plate symbolizing your progression rank. Each playlist would have its own individual rank for each player not based on progression and on said player card the top 4 playlists for each person would be present showing the rank of said playlists. As well as their over all W/L.

Wishes: After playing RTX and PAX there are some things that i wish will be in the game. I want the flag carriers pistol to be stronger why? Bloom and a small clip really punishes a player so to make it a tad fair i think it should take 1 shot less to kill then the normal magnum takes. This is kind of general but 343 needs to up the ante on custom game options with CTF being re invented and Oddball being revolutionized some of my custom game ideas would require Some newer options.

EX: In my oddball gametype its going to be FFA the person holding the oddball only gets points by killing people with it he gets special traits. But the option i am needing is everyone not holding the ball is a teammate Scoring is still FFA but i don’t want people with out the ball killing eachother. Turning friendly fire off is a short solution but a cheap one. In reaches juggernaught everyone was on a team like this. So it shouldn’t be hard to make the option for us.

JUGGERNAUGHT needs to be fixed, in halo 3 if you killed the juggernaught you kept your weapons instead of getting the hammer and in reach he was stuck with the hammer couldn’t give him anything else. My last wish ill name for now is that i want armor to be unlocked through achievements. Not all of it has too but most of it. Some can be earned by leveling but reaches customs suffered in the dark because most people was occupied with ranking up online.

Things i don’t like in halo 4:
shielding, which ever perk gives you explosive resistance, the perk that tells you where your last killer is, the new human sniper look. Camo being the same as reaches and jetpack returning.

Current issues: CTF: In my perspective i view it as a new gametype rather then a variant of CTF it really feels like its VIP mixed with flag. I say this because picking up the flag you essentially become the objective. Kind of like VIP. However i do feel that classic 2 flag and 1 flag should be in customs MLG and classic playlists. Getting rid of old CTF is like getting rid of the assault rifle. Its a halo icon.

Tactical packages: I understand how people can say it is looking like COD. I agree they sound similar but MOST and i can’t put enough stress on most TP don’t impact the game as much as perks do. There are acceptions to this such as shielding and stability. Those i believe shouldn’t be in. But the thing to remember is its a small advantage. Very situational. In my experience it didn’t change gameplay all that much bar the few big changers like i mentioned already.

Last issue i will cover is Halo 4 not being halo. Many forum goers have expressed how many of these new ideas make it really seem like halo 4 is drifiting away from halo. While i can agree most of the changes seem scary i want to be one of the people to tell you Don’t worry. I have played 6 matches of halo 4 and it still very much feels like halo to me. And yes ive been playing since halo 1. I just ask you to keep an open mind.

OH also a minor issue brought up about no weapons on map. That is only in infinity slayer. If you watched any CTF footage you could see weapons on the map. Anyway please post your concerns if i didn’t touch on something. Feel free to ask me questions about what ive posted or of halo 4 in general. Besides hands on experience i also keep up to date by searching everyday so i can be the most informed source for my friends. And thanks for reading all of it if you made it this far.

I just hope it can maintain a healthy population past the six month mark.

It probably will. Honestly among reaches issues one of the ones that really killed it was it simply didn’t feel like halo. For a lot of people halo 2/3 were the first halo and reach felt completely different. and halo 4 does feel like halo. IMO, But its also worth noting some of the other underling issues of reach have been fixed in halo 4. AA’s in reach were unbalanced due to AL. They now feel more balanced and less clunky. BLOOM in reach rewarded spamming too much in halo 4 its been modified to reward pacers properly and spammers at close. And movement speed/ jump height is much more smooth now.

halo 4 should have no problem hitting that mark.

one and only shameless bump
