To all those who are buying the console edition just for the FOTUS skin, what are you going to do when Halo 5 and 6 come out?
LE + Console = $500.00
Assuming you have the same mindset when it comes to wanting every exclusive thing in the game to feel good, are you going to drop another $1,000.00 on the reclaimer trilogy? meaning that you spent a total of $1,500.00?
I’ve never been a fan of special edition consoles tbh. They’re way overpriced, and if you buy one for a game in a franchise the you like, there will be one for the next installment 2-3 years from then.
If anyone is seriously buying the console just for the skin, please reconsider. You’ll be able to find a code on ebay on the day of the release, and 343i may even release the armor as DLC sometime later. It’s a waste of money if you just want the skin.

You actually receive the whole armor, not just the skin. And judging from speculations, H5 and H6 may be bundled with the next box so those who had no reason to buy them at launch may buy the next box with the next halo
I think you shouldn’t make fun of them. If people want an exclusive skin, they have every right as consumers to get it. It is not your money they are spending.
But I doubt anyone is buying the console “just for a skin”. They maybe need a new xbox or something. Regardless though the skins add additional value to the conxole/limited edition.
I’d considered buying the new Xbox, since I’m still running with a Gen1 Elite, but I had considered and dismissed the idea before I even heard of the FOTUS armor. Plus, it wouldn’t come with LE.
Don’t think many people will be buying the console just for FOTUS, though. If somebody does… well, it’s their money.

While i agree that they have the right as a consumer to buy it just for the skin, I believe that we have an equal right to make fun of them for it. If you’re getting it to upgrade to the newer xbox or whatever other reason then it’s cool. But just for the skin? Sorry, but jokes are on the way.

How am I making fun of them exactly? I’m just asking in they plan on spending fifteen hundred dollars on Halo.
I’d honestly say that only about 10% of the people buying the console actually NEED another console.
Well I got the halo reach xbox because I still had the old model of xbox and I figured I might as well get a special one. It cost the same as my first xbox did and has way more memory on the hard drive and performs better overall. So it was a good deal. I do like the Halo 4 console, to me it looks way better than the Reach one; but the next gen consoles are right around the corner so it’ll become obsolete pretty quick. And future halo games will probably have their own special xbox console so I’ll wait for that.
Also buying the console just for the FOTUS skin is pretty silly, just buy the code on ebay or something when the game comes out. If you still don’t have an xbox 360 then it might be worth consideration but at this point I don’t think a lot of people are still buying xbox 360s.

No that is just being an -Yoink-.
You are being a jerk to people who really want Halo 4 and what to add more to their Halo experience. I think you have no right to make fun of people who are bigger fans of the series and want more customization options.
I am very disappointed in the community here. You all claim to be big Halo fans yet make fun of people who like or have played Halo more than you. Or in this case, people who have more money to buy Halo stuff.

Disagree here, but just on your assumption that having a deeper wallet makes someone a bigger fan.
Dedication to the core of the series determines how big a fan someone is, and you can achieve that with a vanilla copy of the game and healthy skepticism. In fact, you don’t even need to be online in order to be a big fan. I know a girl who barley has an internet connection, can only play Halo online a few days out of the year, and she’s still a huge fan even without the most expensive version of the game.
So yes, it’s a poor move to mock someone just because they want the console version of the game for whatever reason, but getting the console isn’t somehow proof that you’re the most dedicated Halo fan in the room.

Thats the joke
Anyway, you have no right to be a jerk to someone else. I find it shallow, immature, and rather petty how you guys want to harass and be jerks to people who want to spend more money to get stuff for Halo 4.

Someone who isn’t that big of a Halo fan will not spend $400.00 on a console to get a skin. My point is the people getting the console and LE are most likely huge Halo fans. Either way, that is no right to harass someone over.

Dude, trust me, I’ve spent plenty on Halo swag. More than I probably should’ve. However, $400 for an in-game skin is just way too excessive. Are you seriously saying you’re willing to spend that much for a skin?
I still can’t see justification in throwing down that much money on something that will be replaced in 1 or 2 years. The only reason you’d need a new Xbox would be if yours just plain didn’t work. Other than that the 360s cycle is coming to a close.
Still I do love the look of the console and controllers. The FOTUS armor does look pretty sweet to.

Of course not, and I have plenty of Halo swag too.
I don’t care if people want to spend $400.00 on the console, I am not going to harass or make fun of them for it. People can do whatever they want and I think it is rude to call them out on it because they have more disposable income.
It’s not just about the FOUTS skin. Which is cool by the way. Im getting it because 1) I have the money to buy a new console, 2) it looks awesome and comes with two controllers that look awesome as well. And what’s it too you how I spend my money?
