'buying' spartan ops??

i have read multiple times that you have to buy your spartan ops missions with spartan points. i really hope they’re cheap and can be afforded by playing one online match because:

a friend of mine and i often play halo together. though he has got a bit more free time than i’d have so i would really hate to get into these situations where i have to choose between buying spartan ops or upgrade my spartan with armor and other stuff (which i find vey fun and important)

That is false info, the person who wrote the story misread the magazine.

I am pretty sure they will randomly be updated weekly for everyone to play. I believe they are all located on this disc with release. That is why you must buy and download season 2 of Spartan Ops.

you gain spartan points from them, so why would they make you pay to play it?

They have said that Spartan Ops comes with Halo 4 and will update weekly. If someone who rarely gets a chance to play wants to play SOPs, but doesn’t have very many points, can’t play because of the lack of points is unfair. I will assume that you won’t have to pay Spartan points for SOPs. But we would have to wait and hear more before we start pointing fingers.
