Buying New Pad.. Doomed or Concave Sticks

We all know Halo 4 is going to require a considerable amount of button mapping with 7 priority buttons needed while using your right thumb-stick (Shoot, Jump, AA, Crouch, Melee, Nade or Sprint) so Im taking it upon myself to buy a well know modded joypad that has mapped paddles on the back as the extra 2 buttons I will need.

My big problem is there is an option to have extended Doomed Thunb-sticks similar to the PS3 or standard xbox Concave ones. I myself have never used these things but there is plenty of people out there swearing by them and the improved accuracy they deliver.

I am wondering how many people out there use these thumb-stick attachments and if there just a preference over grip type personally I like the concave originals but Im willing to swap over if my game will improve. Are they even needed for a game like Halo?

I dont want to mention the brand as it my annoy 343 employees but most of you will know the controller Im on about.

I just use my regular 360 controller with the twisting d-pad. Concave sticks are way better. My fingers are always slipping on the PS3’s domed sticks.

If it’s a razor don’t and read up on there reliability because after going through 2 I just use a standard controller just my 2 cents

Concave. less slipping, especially if your hands get sweaty.

Er no thanks.

Its not a Razor.

Its a “Scuf Gaming” controller there MLG approved and as soon as 343 release the finalised control layout for Halo 4 Ill be deciding which two button I will be needing for the paddles.

@ CLOTHIER Im sure the ones there offering dont look like that lol.

Right now people are praising Doomed/Thumbstick Extenders but I never felt the need for them and the only thing that really lets down my Halo gameplay is trying to Jump and Shoot (Default, A). I dont Bumper Jump anymore because I dont Claw to use AA’s.

There pretty bad -Yoink- controllers.

Haha, I’m just scared of the fact that a domed controller might wear out like the PS3’s ones do.

That guy must of logged in some serious game time to burn that much rubber off.

To be honest, unless you’re playing a game where there’s only 2 useable button layouts (e.g CoD), Scuff controllers aren’t worth it. Besides, once you use concave for more than a few weeks, domed just feels weird.
