Buying MCC on X1 means that I'll own them on PC?

Hi guys, one simple question.

If I buy the Halo The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One, will that mean that I’ll own all of the upcoming Halo Games on PC?

And if the answer is yes, will all my Xbox One progress translate to PC as well?

Thank you very much in advanced.

From a Reddit AMA:

> Q: Will it be possible for those who own MCC digitally on Xbox be able to play/own the game on PC via “Play Anywhere”?
> A: As Bonnie noted on Sunday, we appreciate all of the Xbox One players who have supported MCC over the years and we realize that many existing MCC players are also interested in playing the game on PC. While MCC was released prior to the Xbox Play Anywhere program, we are still exploring ways to recognize the continued support of our Xbox One players so they are also able to enjoy MCC on PC. We will have more details as we get closer to launch.

Not exactly concrete, but I suspect that you’ll have to buy it again on PC. Each game will be available via Steam for $10 each ($5 for ODST) or with the Xbox Game Pass.
However, MCC progress will transfer between the different platforms.

Hey thanks man, yeah then I rather not buy it on Xbox One then since it’s not clear yet.
I suspect you are right since $25 to buy MCC on Xbox One would be too cheap in order to also get all of the 5 upcoming games on PC.

343 Industries would be losing a lot of money if that information is confirmed right now. Everybody would just buy the MCC on xbox one right now and then they’d save 50% of what they’d eventually spend buying all of the PC Halo Games.

But they are not denying it since I bet they just wanna see how their sales do as soon as Reach comes out. They’ll also introduce in game transactions so that’s another way of getting revenue. I get it. It’s smart. I’d do the same thing.

I’ll support them though. Halo is just a fantastic series and will always be a fan.

Aye; I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of the series over the past 18 years so $55 for 6 full games doesn’t put me off buying them again—assuming the development time and Insider testing results in good ports, of course.
At the end of the day they like any business want to make a profit, and $10 per game is hardly a huge markup considering development times and costs.

Aight thanks bro,

Hey would you mind sending me your x1 gamertag?

I haven’t played Halo in a long time but I’ve always been great at any shooter. OG over here.

The Waypoint usernames you see are usually people’s Xbox gamertags.
