Buying individual reqs

Had the thought of making it possible to buy individual reqs at a high req point cost so that it is more efficient to buy gold packs and what not, but possible to spend your hard earned req points on what you want.

I don’t like the idea of buying individual reqs especially as bloated as the system is right now. I would like to see them make wild cards so players could pick a req from time to time.

what Halo really needs is a UI and matchmaking overhaul.

Yeah, I would appreciate the ability to pay real world $ or save up 100’s of thousands of points to just straight up buy the H2BR that I want and still don’t have, rather than slog thru collecting the 8195623419823 armors, skins, stances, etc. that I don’t want… unfortunately they likely won’t ever do that because they specifically want me to have to grind, because once I had the items I really wanted, there’d be no incentive for me to ever spend more again.

Would be a bit more like the Reach system when it comes to permanent reqs.

I have pitched an idea like this in the past; when you want to get some specific weapons and vehicles more frequently, you would “place orders” on the specific REQs that you want. By placing an order, you increase your chances of getting that one particular REQ. To keep things balanced however, you can only place a limited number of orders overall.

I dont think it needs to be more complicated than: You got this cert, you can get it randomly from packs or spend X amount to get 1 of them.

The idea would favour me well, much like halo reach. But again, if I were able to just buy the single reqs I want, then I wouldn’t have that much drive to continuing buying reqs if all I get are uselessstuff. You need to think in a Buisness sense

it seems like a good idea

I would love to have it that way. But that will never happen, because where is the incentive to pay real cash for it. I would like a rotation of weapon pack, vehicle pack, and boost packs.

I like the Actman’s suggestions of having different packs. e.g. weapons, cosmetics, armours, boosts etc… that way you know what you are paying for. Also this is fair, as it is in the command of the player.

I find that my drops are not geared towards me and always give me things that I don’t really use all to much so having specific Req packs to refill but not unlock the certifications would be nice. Like I have almost all the flying vehicle certifications but they never drop because they all are usually only found in gold packs and that is a large pool so if we had a vehicle or flying vehicle pack that only gives us things we have certification for then we would be better equipped to play war zone on equal terms, because its not fair if the enemy has all these high end reqs and all I have is a bloody warthog because my req pool for vehicles is tapped out because they aren’t dropping as often as they probably should.

They did the weekly special packs for a month last year, like 10 Vorpal Talon + the CERT, with a higher RP cost. I was hoping this would continue, and that they do the same for other REQs, specifically Phaetons.

If they did that, then spam of all the top tiered vehicles would ensue. Hannibal everything every match, as soon as one gets destroyed just call in another because you could simply buy as many of your favorite vehicles as you’d like. In my opinion, it would make the old level 3 wasp issue pale in comparison. Just my opinion. Plus, 343 wouldn’t sell as many req packs, which is probably why this won’t happen.

This. If micros are the way of the future at least cycle crud out.

This. I have a metric -Yoink- ton of REQ points. If I could buy 100 Phaeton Helios’, I definitely would. There is no way a system like this wouldn’t be abused beyond measure.

I think it’s a good idea to be able to buy individual REQS because when WZ Turbo comes around, more power weapons, vehicles, and power ups will get flushed. Prices for a Nonfang are 25k or 20k req points.
Mythic: 20k - 35k (varying by usefulness )
Ultra Rare: 15k - 19k
Rare: 7,500k - 12k
Uncommon and Common: 1,250 - 5k

wouldn’t being able to buy specific things create too homogenous a squad? Everyone will save up for the same cool armor, same cool helmet etc. Not being able to control what you unlock gives creative and unique looking Spartans in every match.

I think he means buying reqs you have already unlocked. Like for warzone
