Buying assassination animations/ bundles

We all know halo infinite is free to play and there will be a store section in the main menu so when assassinations do come post launch I am more than willing to pay some good money for “modern warfare style bundles” like they could come with 1 assassination animation a weapon skin or color and maybe like a weapon charm

I guess they could do this, but I’d much rather them just include special animations into battle passes.

This assumes that unique assassination animations will be monetized, but if that was the case just put them in the battle passes instead.

I don’t think anything is off-limits when it comes to Infinite and money.

battlepass>mtx. mtx should be avoided where possible.

Battlepass and mtx are the same thing, note the features that now cost extra, were previously in game and unlockable through just playing the game. People seem to forget this and it boggles the mind.

by that logic halo always had mtx in the form of map packs.

mtx are small payments for individual or a small bundle of items. battlepasses are usually $10, released ~4 times a year, include a substantial amount of cosmetic content and are progressed by playing the game. battlepasses also allow the game to introduce actual gameplay content for free, such as new maps and weapons. selling maps as dlc in a multiplayer game is severely outdated and off-putting to most consumers.

I hope they don’t do that…I liked what they did with halo 3 where you could earn armor sets by completing the campaign on certain difficulties. In Infinite they could have challenges so for example if you wanted the helioskrill armor you have to beat the campaign with all skulls on or if you get a killionare in multiplayer you get an assassination unlocked. I honestly prefer this so that I don’t have to spend money on customization and get to flex my accomplishments on others. If halo copied COD the customization wouldn’t have any meaning after a while and whoever has the biggest wallet looked the coolest. I understand that it’s free multiplayer but maybe they can make earned customization better then paid. If not, ill accept reach’s style with credits. It may have lost some meaning but at least I didn’t have to pay for it.

PS: Sorry for the rant

The bulk should be earned free or via the (paid) battle passes.

But I also have no problem with having some that you pay for. Either as a promotion (eg. with corn chips or a soft drink company) or direct sale. The latter could include movie, comic, or other game tie ins for example. Or sporting teams.

The fact people would be willing to spend like $15-$20 on just animations & skins when we used to earn these stuff just by Playing really is disappointing

This could not be further from the truth. You still get content that is unlockable for free, like before. But now you get so much more, and support for the game like free maps and content updates.

Fortnite has over 1,000 skins, way more than would ever come with a base game. Halo 3 had what, 12 armour sets? One of those armour sets you needed to buy a whole other game to unlock too.

Why do you think they were axed from inital release?
I fully expect to see the “spinal tap” assassination on the store for $5.99
