Mostly what I have to say is they seriously made halo 5 a buy to win you can’t really advance in multiplayer because the weapons are so uneven.
Just my opinion 343 really ruined halo.

343 ruined Halo because 2 playlists have weapons that you get from req packs? When i play WZ or WZA i very rarely use reqs and im 144. Maybe play arena or firefight if this is a really big issue for you.

Yeah, Warzone kinda sucks like that. Maybe give Big Team Battle a try, you’ll probably have more fun in that playlist.
You can buy as many weapons and vehicles as you want. You’ll still probably lose to a Plasma Pistol or Sniper, both Uncommon weapons.
Still don’t really get why people would buy REQ’s to try and win a WZ game. I get the customization part, but not the winning one.
People who say that about warzone just don’t know to play tactically. Anything can be countered. Players can have piles and piles of req cards but if they don’t know what to use when or aren’t skilled with them they won’t help them. Warzone takes teamwork and coordination to really be consistent at winning. If you are a solo gamer like me and has to play with randoms then you will always get random results. When I played warzone I cared more for my individual performance than actual winning or losing. You may want to stick to Warzone firefight or arena. But there is no game mode in H5 that is “pay to win”.
“Buy to win” I’m sorry I just… I need a moment. Buy to win? BUY?! This should not be as funny as I find it, but it is.
Anyway, Halo 5 is not pay to win. Pay to skip sure, but it’s not pay to win. Warzone’s systems make it so that you can take out a powerful target with no REQs, or the very cheapest of them. A Nornfang can be taken down with a BR. A Phaeton Helios can be destroyed by a plasma pistol. If you think the game is pay to win, then it’s your fault and you’re looking for something else to put the blame on.

I never use Reqs in warzone, ever. I sell all my reqs to buy req packs to try to 100% my permanent unlocked Reqs.
I do pretty well, link related:
I can guarantee you that they seriously didn’t make Halo 5 pay to win, precisely because you can get just about everything this game has to offer without paying a single dollar. All you have to do is play the game. You don’t even have to win games. You just have to finish them and you’ll be rewarded with Req points. Now, if the temptation of paying money to try and get ahead is too strong for some, even though they know they can get everything without paying a single dollar, then is that really 343i’s fault?
I will say yeah I feel kinda bad for players who pick up H5 this late in it’s life. The req pack grind is LONG. It’s extremely bloated. Here is some advice seeing how you are a really low SR and probably just starting out. When it comes to unlocking stuff with these req packs there is an order. First get strictly bronze packs then when you spend more than 5000rp in them and didn’t get at least two unlocks it’s time to move on to strictly silver packs. Get the silver packs untill they refund two 1500 point req cards instead of unlocks then it’s time to go on to the golds. They will refund two 3000 point req cards instead of unlocks. Then you have finished the req pack grind. It will be very long, most finish it at like the SR146ish level. This is the best way to unlock stuff. Now as far as gaining req points to get packs with I always recommend heroic warzone firefight. It may not be the absolute fastest but its the least stressful and most fun way…IMO. also always use RP boost before the games.
I think the real issue here is that you’re level 3. Have you even opened a single req pack yet? I’m level 151 with over 2,300 hours of gameplay in H5 so sure, against me you would probably be at a disadvantage in most cases. However, I have not payed anything except the base cost of the game. The more you play, the more reqs you will unlock and begin to hoard. Also as others have said, these reqs only affect the Warzone playlists.

Rank up playing arena, then when you’re a high rank play warzone.
