I see lots of people on eBay bidding for FOTUS for $150+. Here’s my take. I say you should just go to the store and buy it brand new for an extra $200. If you get it brand new, it comes with a Halo 4 Xbox 360, 2 controllers, a mic, and probably a bunch of other goodies that will add up to be worth more than the extra $200 you spend than if you get FOTUS from eBay.
Yea i bought the fotus that comes with the xbox, ya know i heard that it even might come with a 320gb hard drive, crazy huh.
People are calling the limited edition console bundle by the name of the temporarily exclusive DLC in it? Somehow I’m not surprised.
Anyone who overpays for that armor is going to be seriously disappointed when it becomes part of a $5-$10 armor/skin bundle.
People like those buyers make me lose faith in human intelligence. I’m very sure we’re slowly slipping down the chain. At this rate we’ll all be mentally challenged by 2050…

343i said that they will not release the Xbox or LE armor and skins at a later date, only the preorder bonuses from all of the different retailers they’d be releasing at a later date.

The armor will always be exclusive, just like red flames STILL ARE in reach.
Still, anyone who bought it for the armor alone doesn’t sound smart to me. But hey, not my money.
I am waiting to see if the is the chance of a “in-app” type purchase possibility with this game. You see alot of tablet games like infinity blade for example, where you can use real money to buy weapons, armor, etc.etc. This maybe the game where MS tries it out, be it with MS points or actual money. Why earn when you can buy it? I know it sounds far fetched or dumb, but things happen.
Why would you pay 150 dollars for ONE piece of in game content, i think those people are a little loopy.
i would agree that buying the halo 4 console edition would be the better deal. but then again…i say, let them do what ever they want with it; it’s their money. if fotus armor is worth $150 to you, then by all means, buy it. i understand that fotus armor may be exclusive and limited, but if it’s worth more than the game ($60) itself, there’s a problem (in my opinion). but hey, i’m not judging anybody.

It’s human nature. People want to be part of an exclusive group that has something everyone else doesn’t.
Seems silly to shell out your money (or your parents’…depending on one’s age) for a virtual item that amounts to no more than aesthetic appeal.
Now in your guys’ cases, it seems to make more sense. You are probably very big fans that will find enough joy out of the console, etc.
The ebayers … maybe just have money to blow? Either way…I would not be able to justify those bids.
Trade in a bunch of things into gamestop. Then you can get the bundle for about what you would pay for the armor alone on ebay or cheaper depending on how much you trade in. I got the War Games Pass and the console for about $200.

this proves that people will use an “exclusive” poop stained weapon skin just because it is “exclusive”

What are the odds that they will still be in stock by then? And just to be clear, if I did buy it around then, would it still include the FOTUS armor and other dlc goodies?

Not sure if it will be around (Reach still had plenty but from what i have read, these are much more “limited” than the Reach consoles)
But if you do manage to find 1, it will include all the benefits of getting it on Day 1

If I do get it, I might get it in the bundle with the vanguard (mobile gaming case) because I am on the road a lot for sports. So I wonder if Amazon will still have that bundle deal going on around holiday season.
