in case you guys dont know…the new xbox dashboard that came out today allows you to remap your controller. What changes are you guys going to make to your controller for halo 5?
Personally i messed up my right finger pretty bad so i have had to play southpaw triggers and halo 5 only has 1 southpaw setting so I am happy to finally being able to try out zooming with the trigger and all the other jumper settings that i couldnt use before (no settings allowed me to shoot with left trigger).
Another thing i am changing is melee being on the same side as shoot…it makes the AR charge to melee a little awkward cause u either have to slide ur finger to hold the trigger and hit the bumper or you have to stop shooting completely for a split second to hit the bumper to melee. in free for all i feel like i am doing auto weapon firing into a melee frequently and it would feel less awkward if the melee bumper was opposite of the shooting trigger.

You can set up different profiles for different games but it does not apply automatically when you start the game. You would need to start the app and switch the control scheme. The Elite controller gets around this by having a switch to select between two control schemes.
Well, that’s definitely better than the PS4’s version. That one is stuck for all games so you will have to change it per game. I’d be find with “selecting” it as long as I didn’t need to repeatedly change around settings every time I changed games.
I am going to switch out the Melee (Right stick button) with the Boost (B Button) as I use legacy controls and cannot boost sideways with the current setup. Also, I will be able to have legacy controls on battlefront now!

This. I always have to awkwardly grip my controller in order to combine sprint, thrust and board in a small amount of time.
