Button layouts on a standard controller?

I remember when I first saw the button layouts for Halo 4.

“Holy crap, these all suck!” I thought.

I had my Razer Onza, so I just made my own version of Bumper Jumper. LB to use AAs, LMFB to jump, RB to melee and RMFB to fire. (I find firing with a bumper much more accurate.)

Well, my Onza broke today. So until I buy a replacement or hear back from Razer, I’m stuck with the crappy layouts provided by the game. Which do you recommend? I’m torn between default and bumper jumper, but why in the name of God did they have to switch crouch and sprint on bumper jumper? I could’ve dealt with it if it wasn’t for that.

And default is alright, but I hate jumping with A. Such a disadvantage. Either way I won’t be firing with a bumper, but I can deal with that.

I use Bumper Jumper, just try something out for a few games and you’ll be completely used to it.

I use boxer ! they also switched it up since halo 3 in which the “B” button was to toss grenades now its sprint… I hold my controller claw style so it’s perfect for me plus I love that “L” trigger being Mele

I use Recon, have done since Reach - What I hate, however, is the button assignment for the ingame scoreboard. Why the -Yoink- would you change a perfectly not broken, easy to use button/stick combo for accessing player profiles/mute/service record etc to something as stupid as the back button, D-Pad and “Y” button?! PLEASE get it back to “Back + R-Stick + A” ASAP, 343. The new combi makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. My reaction when I discovered that they’d changed even that from Reach was: “What is this?! I don’t even…”

Seriously guys, I know now that you wanted to create a game that was different from Reach, but this is beyond ridiculous.
