…only not as an exploit. Button combos should be featured in Infinite as an intentional gameplay mechanic complete with an accompanying animation, and perhaps even with medals and challenges.
There’s a precedent for button combos in Halo, and an almost universally beloved one at that. They increase the skill gap at a competitive level and mastering them gives a challenge to the player on a personal level. If implemented correctly, they could provide a fun, new twist to Halo’s gameplay and honor a legacy simultaneously.
Thoughts?
My thoughts?
I think Bungie as well as 343i had their reasons to leave 'em in H2 and never bringing 'em back.
And I’m pretty glad about it. If I want to “master” button combos, I play Mortal Kombat.
Though I am all for it these were bugs back in the day. It’s not likely they will ever return. And I would even argue in today’s gaming it wouldn’t create much of a skill gap like it did before. Within an hour of knowing the combos, YouTube would be filled with tutorials and everyone would be doing them. But damn I do miss a good bxr!

I think they were “universally beloved” by the .5% of the playerbase that was aware of them and capable of using them.
I vote to keep them out of Infinite, and in the past where they belong.
