Burst and Hover Lover - Halo Infinite Lacks Basics

Love a lot about Halo Infinite, I am also more than ok without “Spartan Charging and Ground Pounds” even though I use both sometimes; however Halo Infinite Leaving out Burst and Hover just make the game less somehow.

The Thruster or “burst” as you call it was a disruptive gameplay element which didn’t work with the core ideals of Halo combat and did nothing to change combat in a meaningful and impactful way. It was a “get out of jail free” card for dodging some sniper fire or other lethal bursts. It rewarded bad gameplay. As for hover, it doesn’t make much sense for it to be in the game when the other abilities are gone because it was tied to the thruster pack or whatever you call it canonically. I’m glad it’s all gone. Personally, slide is too much for me. But what we have, I feel, is a happy medium.

I like this more the gimmicky movements of 5 always felt off brand to me if i wanted to go max speed i would play titanfall 2
