I’m 90% sure it has nothing to do with Halo 4, or Halo in general for that matter.
It more then likely has something to do with the game they’re working on now. Whatever that may be.
It is just the day that they transfer all of the stats handling for Halo over to 343 Industries.

Bungie is shutting down the Halo Stat service and everything Halo related and giving it to Microsoft/343 Industries
