Same complaints that Bungie got with Halo 2, 3 and Reach. Are you people ever satisfied. There will always be cheaters, boosters, quitters, etc… Play the game, 343 has made it possible to quit during the game if someone is using a lag-switch. I understand this also could be a problem but as of today I have not played one perfect game yet. 343 has done one heck of a job stepping in shoes that were almost to large to fill. For everyone that reads this and loves Halo 4 then I’ll be on playing CTF in less than an hour…complaining away…haha. And remember if your gettin your a** handed to you then use my excuse, “They must be cheating” or “They play way to much and need to get a life.”

i never complained about a halo game before i played halo 4.
i liked everyone of them longer than a few days after release.
I just find it amusing that its always the same complaints. Do this or do that. They did it their way and it totally works for me.

Halo 2 still holds that title. I do enjoy Halo 4 though.
Some things don’t change. I especially love the threads with population counts, videos, “pro” opinions, etc… that griefers always use to try and validate their opinion as well.
It’s all been the same since Halo 2 released. The funniest part is that Halo 2 is now looked at by many (see above) as the pinnacle. Yet upon release it was BUTCHERED by the serious CE players, contained glitches galore, had WAY more aim assist than Halo CE, and above all, contains a campaign that was CUT SHORT BY BUNGIE.
Yet here we are 8 years later going through it again with people saying “Man I miss Halo 2”.
8 years from now people with complain about the new game out and say Halo 4 was the best. I think I see a trend
When Halo 5 comes out i guarantee there will be threads “Halo 4 multiplayer was much better!”. people will never be satisfied with anything.

Haha
Anyone worse than you is a noob - anyone better than you is a nerd
Hilarious how 343i implements a feature SO many people asked Bungie for on past Halo titles, and all people want now is a way to turn it off… ::facepalm::
I enjoy every halo. except this one.

what was that feature?

I loved Halo 2 from the second it was released and will always hold it as the standard for what halo should be. Even with the rampant cheating, button glitches, and super bouncing. I found the super bouncing to be quite fun as well as the button glitches although I couldn’t do most of them. I still throw it in from time to time just to super bounce. lol

I think that the fact that Halo 2 Vista flopped without the very special environment of the original Xbox makes that perhaps less true. We can agree about Halo 4 though. I won’t be the first to say it’s the best game ever but I’ll at least say that it’s probably the most enjoyable Halo game since the first. Coming up with something that can sort of match Rb6:Vegas terrorist hunts (ie. SOPS) is a pretty big accomplishment. Developing a campaign narrative that could hold up to a legitimately good Sci-fi movie is still, even at this late date, mind blowing. At least keeping up with some of the most basic innovations which Section 8 came up with (or at least did right) isn’t a bad move either. None of these though really fall into why some people play this game. More so it’s for the kicks, the mindless buzz they get from feeding their electronic addiction to the Bottle Rifle.
But my opinion (valuing good gameplay and great story telling) is that what we do to piss off the abusers is probably a win for the long-term health of this franchise. It can’t live forever being the biggest drug on the market (which is all Halo has ever been known for, prior to 2008.) Something else will invariably come along and offer an even more thrilling fix than what Halo can offer. I think we can even agree that this has already happened once. So why try to compete on those terms? Why not live up to all that “The Star Wars of this generation!” crap that was on about Halo 3 and make Halo 5 and 6 worth something to more than just the zombie-like fanboys? Ie. make it a legitimately good game in the same great pantheon as Half Life 2 or sigh Skyrim. Not saying “Hey let’s steal their -Yoink- and hope that makes us rich!” but rather that we should take a larger view of game design than simply listening to the fans. That’s fine for politics, but not a creative medium.

Of course there has always been lots of complaining, because literally no game after CE has been a wothy sequel to the original. Also, the level of complaining has risen with each new game due to the fact that each new game has been getting progressively worse and straying further from being a true sequel to the original. Halo 2 was looking extremely promising at E3 (with that amazing New Mombasa level which didn’t even make it into the final game) with an art style which was directly in line with Halo: CE which gave it that feeling of being a true sequel. However, time contraits due to pressure from microsoft blew that all away and ever since, Halo has been straying off course massively.
