Just to clarify, they were great at coming up with game types; I’m a huge fan of Headhunter. BUT! Dividing the community up into ‘Slayer’ ‘Big Team Slayer’ ‘Capture the Flag’ and so on, and so forth.
In Halo 4, I really hope that 343 limit the amount of lobbies available, and rather increase the weighting upon other game types.
> They need to bring back ranked and social. Also we need a voting system with less options. I enjoy variety and don’t want to play Asylum every game.
Right on both accounts. Ranked and social provides a clear separation that is needed in Halo. And Halo 2 or Halo 3’s voting system was great. I love playing every map that was actually made for the game.

What?
The settings for each one of those are almost wholely incompatable or poor choices to be lumped together. Slayer or CTF doesn’t work well when it’s just a 4v4. Likewise any 8 person match doesn’t play well on any of the BTB maps.
Objective and Slayer are seperated because it’s been shown repeatedly that players prefer Slayer over Objective.

Depends on situation, and Bungie adjusting the weightings on gametypes that pop up based on player selections prior. I would assume the same was done with maps as well.
The voting system was a huge mistake. It’s most apparent in Anniversary BTB, where you can only play Classic if it’s voted for. AKA, never gonna happen because everyone and their mother can’t play without a DMR. Fail, and I don’t say that often.
The way forward is a fluid experience in which you can actually decide what you want to play. The voting system is just a massive -Yoink–tease
The original playlist didn’t have much when Reach was first released. Bungie complied with what people asked for,in Rumble Pit,all people would pick would be infection,so many asked for there a separate Infection playlist to be made and Bungie put it in.
