This isn’t really Halo 5 related but it is to future Halo games. I feel that to reinvent the franchise Microsoft have to partner with Bungie again. No way am I Bungie fan boy, Halo reach was a disaster and has pretty much damaged the game for good (even though some evidence supports the fact sprint and AAs were put in halo to test how it would feel for destiny). But you have to wonder how much more this community can take. I feel that a lot of the community have already lost complete faith in 343 as a studios after the horrific release that was MCC. Many people will not be returning to the series.
The hype that was created around Destiny just because Bungie was making it was insane, and I know they -Yoinked!- up with that game, but I truly believe that as Activisions fault. There is huge evidence to support the dumbing down of the game within the last year of development. Bungie had made an awesome game but was too complicated for younger audiences so Activision forced them to change it, cut bits out of the story, hell the lead writer for Destiny (same as the Halo games) left because he didn’t want his name to be attributed to the changes made to the game.
Destiny was hugely ambitious but due to some reason had to be scaled back and as a result failed. But, Bungie think big they always have. And maybe a similar hype caused by them returning to the Halo universe would be a kick this franchise needs. It would definitely get huge publicity. They also understand the mechanics and the art style of Halo. They would have also seen how bad the changes have made Halo and I think they may return to that old play style. Tbh it would even have to be with MC as long as it was in the Halo universe they could do anything they wanted and people would be interested.
All the old community would be revived immediately just because of the nostalgia and the hope they will make another “Halo” game and new players will be brought in because of the hype.
Just an interesting idea (I know it will never happen) but what do people think?

Exactly. It baffles me how people are comparing Bungie to 343i when the former has completed 5 full games and the latter has only completed one. Once 343i has copleted their trilogy we will know who’s saga we enjoyed most.
It would be kinda like Michael Jordans 2nd return after being retired, over-hyped and ultimatly a letdown. Something’s are just best left in the past.
I wouldn’t be happy. I am not happy with what they did with Destiny and feel they have no real passion in making a game that would retain my attention.
343 only produced (not created!) Halo 1 anniversary, created 1 game(Halo 4), produced a botched release with broken MM under their name, and a Beta reversing just about every little thing that was wrong with Halo 4
Did they mess up on Halo 4? Yes. Did they took note and made a complete 180 on a large number of changes in Halo 5? Beta says yes. If anything, don’t pre-order if you are that worried of Halo 5 not having MM work. However, I believe they got the game down right.
What would Bungie do? Release another game that has plenty of weapons that players would end up ignoring. Not a Bungie hater, but they do not do a good job in weapon balancing. They’ve recently not been dokng a good job in story telling, content creation and, to some, PvP. I would be more worried from Bungie than I would with 343.

I know it won’t happen. Reach was awful granted. Destiny was ambitious, but forced to be dumbed down by Activision. The game failed accordingly. I think they will learn from this with Destiny 2 (think that will be amazing if they learn from thier mistakes). And Its just showing in the community really how little faith people have in 343 and how much they would rather Bungie make it. I just think by them coming back it would revitalize the community (not necessarily saying I want them to come back). Its just an interesting concept to think about.

Not to mention they cut ties with one of the best game music composer’s of all time in Mart O’Donnell and also with the narrative lead Joe Statten.

Correction you keep saying community when you talk about yourself. Also Bungie has shown us nothing of improvement they proved their formula when they make PS4 exclusive content and like I keep saying millions buy Halo every given year everyone has different views on the future of Halo for me and many other I would rather have 343 over Bungie
I don’t blame Activision for Destiny’s faults, that can be laid on Bungie. Bungie has always stood by the motto that they makes games they want to play. Evidently they want to play a game with no real conceivable story, no true characters, all background material shoved on Bungie.net that players have to unlock and gameplay involving everything people here seem to hate about modern shooters. Destiny is fun and all, but it is style over substance. DIsagree with me if you wish, but I think Halo 5 has more going for it in terms of story and multiplayer.
I also prefer 343s direction with story more than bungie. If bungie made halo 4 then cheif would still be more of a machine since bungie would make him a clique silent hero

I will never forgive them for that, what Marty does is art and if Bungie can’t see that his talents can be used somewhere else.

I see it all the time man everyone yells at 343 for armor abilities in Halo but always forget they were and are dealing with the hand they were dealt with
the only people who have unconditional hate towards 343 are the multiplayer fans, the ones who think mp is only thing that makes halo good.
Bungie is a developer too similiar to 343i. They want to adapt to the others FPS, and they demostrated in Halo Reach. Have you seen Destiny ?
And other information, 343i is made of some ex Bungie members who want to continue with Halo.
I think if Bungie made Halo 5, it would be like 343’s Halo 5.
