Bungie got tired of doing Halo.....

I’m tired of coming on the Forums seeing you “Halo Fans” B & M about every little thing about Halo 4.

Long ago, Bungie said they were “tired of doing Halo” and would’ve stopped at some point, as a matter of fact, that’s why THEY LEFT Microsoft…the first time. Then Microsoft flashed their money and Bungie came crawling back. But not for long.

So, essentially without 343i, we would not have gotten more Halo, regardless of how the game plays, seriously if you want Halo 4 to be more like “Bungie’s Halo”, GO PLAY HALO 3 OR REACH! otherwise, quit crying. However, most of you that complain are still playing Halo 4 and will continue to do so.

While, I only had fun with Reach for so long. Halo 2 and 3 was where the fun was at, and I personally am glad just to be playing another Halo, regardless of how it plays.

I do wish Bungie the best with Destiny and while it certainly looks like it will be another “game-changer” just like Halo was, I appreciate their creating the Halo Franchise and what they did for the gaming industry.

However, after a certain point, franchises need to “evolve” and Halo 4 is doing just that, so deal with it.

AMEN!!! Tired of seeing ppl bi*ch and cry about a game if u dont like it then DONT PLAY IT thats all there is to it

No, Microsoft didn’t flash their money when Bungie left.
They still had a contract with Microsoft to develop 5 Halo games and at the time they were only at 3 games.

If people seriously want to play Halo 3, I made a post about it.

I think being free is what helped Bungie be so creative, so I’m looking forward to Destiny.

I think this thread is almost COMPLETELY pointless. Too bad i already read it :stuck_out_tongue:

I love how the posts saying Halo 4 is bad are getting more mature and the posts defending Halo 4 are getting more childish.

All the defenders do is tell us to stop crying, say all we do is -Yoink- and moan and say if you don’t like it stop playing. Actually defend your game instead of attacking the players.

They arent free, Activision has already stated they plan to use Bungie and its dev team the same as they do with Call of Duties two dev teams.

Bungie belongs to Activision for 10 years as stated by the Contract, and Activision is much worse, only benefit they could see by going with Activision is being able to cross platform the titles they make.

> So, essentially without 343i, we would not have gotten more Halo

And the world would have been a better place.

Amen. People seem to keep posting about how great halo 2 and 3 were, but often find it conveniant to forget the flaws they had.

There are flaws and then there are FLAWS, and there seem to be a good deal of the latter in Halo 4.

Link pls.

The game evolving isn’t a bad thing. I actually quite enjoyed Halo Reach (No I never complained about it to begin with either), even though it had a few balance issues. Armor abilities are an interesting concept that adds depth to the game.

The problem is what change is made and the execution of that change, which people are so eager to complain about.

And they have every right to complain about it.

Halo 4 isn’t perfect, even Halo 2 isn’t perfect. Telling the complainers to basically “-Yoink- off” doesn’t help improve the game.

At the same time, the complainers need to stop being so conservative and biased. I’ve seen people complain about really insignificant -Yoink- (like the Halo 4 Logo for instance).

The problem is all the legitimate discussion is buried under illogical and biased rage from both sides.

While I’m at it, let me address this common argument:

> GO PLAY HALO 1/2/3

Well first of all shouldn’t the fact you are telling tons of people to play the first three games in the series mean something is wrong with the latest installment?

Second:

> GO PLAY HALO 1

Dead playerbase.

> GO PLAY HALO 2

Only possible through system link or the horribly glitchy Vista version.

> GO PLAY HALO 3

The Halo 3 playerbase is still active but it is slowly dying and will eventually be gone. Very few will be playing by Halo 5.

> However, after a certain point, franchises need to “evolve” and Halo 4 is doing just that, so deal with it.

People are arguing the game has DE-volved, and in some ways it has.

> I love how the posts saying Halo 4 is bad are getting more mature and the posts defending Halo 4 are getting more childish.

Sure they are…

Oh really OP is that what bungie did? lmao

I’m defending Halo from idiots who think they’re entitled to whatever they say. Halo 4 isn’t a bad game.

You really think those people that want the DMR nerfed and 343i to shutdown are mature? Don’t kid yuorself, bro.

I’ll humor you, list every flaw you can think of.

Don’t worry I will not -Yoink- you with my responses, but I will point out any insignificant ones you list to prove a point.

Dude, that’s not what happened.

Take a seat, son. Let me tell you all about it. . . .

It kind of goes all the way back to the production of Halo 1. Bungie had been producing games for the Mac - under Apple. Halo was going to be a Role-Playing Game, but then Microsoft was coming out with the original Xbox at the time, and were looking for developers, and they hired Bungie. Bungie was actually hesitant at first because they had actually been sort of against Microsoft - sort of a rivalry; Bungie sold-out to Microsoft reluctantly.

So after Halo 3, Bungie had enough of money to split off from Microsoft, and did so. I’m not sure about this part, but they were sued by Microsoft, they had broken the 10 year contract they had signed to produce Halo games.

Either way, after Bungie split, Microsoft was given the rights to Halo, but were given the opportunity to make 2 more games - these ended up being Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach.
The rights to Halo we’re then passed over to 343 industries in May of 2011.

The more you know.

Burn Bright, Burn Blue.

^ Correct.

I personally feel Halo should have died with out Bungie after seeing Halo 4.
Not because 343 made it but because they removed more features than Halo 3 had and basically made it a social game (Casual Game).

Them dirty casuals! How dare they play games for fun!

THAT’S NOT WHAT GAMES ARE FOR.

I’m assuming your being sarcastic. This is the problem with Halo 4. Once again like reach, it’s catered to the casuals. For the second time now, the competitive community has been completely hung out to dry. I don’t have a problem with people who play casually, however 343 could have easily met in the middle with the two communities but didn’t.

If you play matchmaking you play casually because you are not actively seeking out a challenge because you are playing against other casual players.

The only difference is some are more casual than others.
