I’m a big fan of the control layout of “Bumper Jumper,” and when I ran sprint as a Loadout it did just fine using the X button. (Jetpack was obviously a fail, but I hate it anyway).
But NOW, how am I going to run 2 AA’s with the Bumper Jumper controls?!
I am decent at Halo, therefore this “new” route their going just ruins it. I have a bad feeling about this game.
Bumper Jumper doesn’t make you better, so it doesn’t matter.
It does make you be able to play easier if you have the skill to use it, but it doesn’t make you better.
This is a problem for all control schemes, so I also hope they can get it right. And please, no LS for running… it hurts my thumbs and makes the thumbstick “stick” after a while.
On the default layout, maybe D-PAD will be used for grenade switching, and the bumpers for sprint/AAs?
like mambaa said. I’ve been using BJ for quite a lot of time now and I personally think that Bungie screwed bumper jumper with Reach. I hope 343i will make it comfortable to use no matter what loadout you choose.
Guys, imagine the control schemes for Halo Reach; picture what button activates each feature. Got it? Good. Halo 4 adds 1 feature. That’s it. Think hard now; what action is fairly trivial and can be moved to a non-important button? Switching grenades. Just move the ‘change nade type’ to the D-pad.
The new bumper jumper needs to be changed, no matter what. Also the people who are saying they changed the buttons for those who use jetpack, and to make it easier for them your right. What i dont get though is why change it now the jetpack in reach doesn’t go up you can’t control it you just go in a straight line. They just mixed jet pack and evade from reach now theres no reason for changing the controls because theres no AA that you need this new bumper jumper for.

They need to change bumper jumper back to the way it has always been since Halo 3. Besides, most people who use bumper jumper don’t care about using armor abilities in the first place.
SWITCH GRENADES BACK TO LT, PUT AA BACK TO X. Please and thank you.
