No, first of all i dont want aa’s in halo 4. Also, i think it’s nice with ups and downs within the controller system. With Bumper jumber, you can jump and aim at the same time, but your having slightly problems beating down people. I dont remember all the controller systems, but with green thumb you have an advantage in beating down people however there is harder to jump and aim at the same time, and that’s how the game controllers continues so on … It has it’s ups and downs.

I much prefer this idea to losing the punch button… If they couldn’t do this they should have left bumper as jump and left trigger as jetpack…I mean how often do you need to circle around someone whilst throwing grenades? There is always the B button for throwing them against walls etc.
but a jump jet variant is much needed - it irritates me not being able to use an AA just because of my button setup
Just a thought…why cant we have a custom controller setting?
Hngh… I doubt this sort of functionality would only apply to one control scheme, and they made it so pressing A while in mid-air = jetpack, it’d make my ninja jumping tactics clumsy when I’m hopping from railings to lamposts and whatnot.
If you’ve money to spare and really need to use Bumper Jumper, invest in a Razer Onza TE pad and make use of the assignable extra bumpers!
True story. Buy a Razer Onza…they are cheap and awesome. Plus, I got mine at Best Buy and got the two year replacement plan for $10 so in about 6 months, I am just gonna go trade it in for a new one since the plan also covers normal wear and tear.

Fair enough but would it be that hard for them to factor customisable controller settings into the game?
At least that way everyone can have what they want when it comes to button config…I mean the preset versions were great right up until AAs were introduced.
We shouldn’t really have to buy a controller for a specific button configuration.

On that, I completely agree with you. It’s beyond me why they won’t let us configure the button layout any way we want. I have never gotten a good answer from anyone on that. I could do the SNES version of Street Fighter 2. Why not in 2011?
For Reach, all they needed to do was swap crouch and AA. Then just turn on “toggle crouch” so you don’t need to hold down X for anything, only click it.
This allows you to fully
Move spartan
Aim
Shoot
Melee
Grenade
Crouch
ALL at the same time. No other control scheme can even compete with the efficiency of this.

Since the game informer reveal has just confirmed that jetpack will be in Halo 4, I’m concerned about what this means for bumper jumper- but your idea is great, I think it would work well.
I really hope 343 properly address these control scheme issues, where bungie seemed to blindly ignore them.
I also agree that customisable buttons are a must, I see no reason why all contemporary games can’t have this option.
