I usually play with Green Thumb, but the other night, my friend suggested to play on Bumper Jumper because the hip fire aiming is smoother. So i tried it out, and it actually is. Has anyone noticed this?Green Thumb and Fishstick hip fire aiming/look is clumsy compared to Bumper umper. Was this done on purpose?
ive played on bumper jumper since halo 3 i doubt aiming changes.

Aiming doesn’t change between layouts. You’re probably just finding it easier to do more on bumper jumper than on GT.
you can aim and jump at the same time which is a good thing
But I’m not jumping and shooting yet. This is just me aiming and shoot (hip fire) while on the ground… and just looking around (tracking enemies, etc)
I’m pretty sure it’s all in your head. I switch between the two and there is no difference.
well, can someone try it out?
It’s all in your head. Nothing to try out lol. The aiming doesn’t change between settings. Bumper Jumper is just very notable because you can move, jump, shoot, and look around all while not removing your thumb from the aim stick. That’s pretty much all there is to it.

I’ve just confirmed this with 5 other people from my friends list. They all think its very strange and suggested its maybe a bug. Can other try this out and report back?
Someone that has an Elite controller…
Select Default for slot one… select BJ in game.
Select a Custom for slot 2 that has Smartlink on the trigger… select Hell Jumper in game.
Hold the left trigger and aim in BJ (keep holding it in while aiming). Switch over to slot 2 and do the same with Hell Jumper. There is a sizeable difference in aiming smoothness.
dude just stop…ive played every layout there is (we were doing a challenge that we switched every match) and the is ZERO difference in regards to aiming.

The only one of these that you can’t do with default is jump, the rest you can do with every other layout (I think, is there really some other layout that would cause you to have to stop moving, shooting or looking in order to aim?)

Then I don’t know why people are saying that there is…
