Bullets impacts removed ?!

Hello,

I realized in custom games, and on forge maps, 343i has suppressed the bullets impacts …
At first I thought it came from me, then I finally did a test with a friend.

Seriously?
Already there is no human blood …

It’s nice to improve the forge, I found it much more attractive than its departure and I like it, but I do not understand why you almost remove the bullets impacts … I made a clip, and I think there is only the magnum in fact. Even explosive residues were removed and spartan abilities : (Firstly I threw a grenade) Axeas's Xbox Halo 5: Guardians clip 25719775. Find your Xbox clips on GamerDVR.com

Personally it saddens me … :frowning:
Only on warzone maps that they appear.

I’m going to assume it is in part due to performance reasons. Not entirely sure how the game operates, but here’s how I see it: The game needs to render the effects. We already have framerate issues on several Forged maps, simply because so many objects go into each map. If we were to add on all of the bullet holes, the explosion residue, and whatever else, I’m pretty sure the maps would be rather laggy because of the additional rendering they would have to do.

This is all just a guess from my technologically uneducated mind, so take it with a grain of salt.

This is the most likely explanation, from what I know. It’s most likely a sacrifice to maintain 60 FPS as consistently as possible.

Okay, do you think we’ll can have the possibility (as on Windows 10) to be able to display them (or no) in a future update?

You might be able to do so now if you have a PC that is capable of supporting it. If not, it’s possible that it will come in a future update.

In reality, my PC is not very powerful, I only put the best graphics when I play forge, but when I go in custom games, I decrease to the bare minimum. But since we can do it on PC, I hope one day the coming of this possibility (change graphics and visibility of bullet holes). At least for custom games.
