SPECIES CANDIDATE//LINE RECORD 94:73:02:75

UNGGOY// Sensors at Balaho indicate stability, no off-planet transport recorded since Solipsis. Runners are claiming that Buwan has been abandoned as well, but we’re keeping our eyes on it anyway. Moderate Unggoy populations have been observed in Sangheilian systems at various intervals.

KIG-YAR// Eayn’s native population continues to grow and expand within reasonable governing parameters; its economic and social lines have stabilized in the wake of the war. Muloqt, Kaelarot, and Valyanop, the primary interplanetary colonial sites, all remain static, with little notable movement. There are rumors of mercenaries operating alongside a handful of more conservative Sangheili states, although that has yet to be substantiated.

SANGHEILI// Most intel here originates from ground contacts, but sensors have assisted with validation. The primary issue with the Sangheili is that of discordant cultural symmetry. It is difficult to assess military growth across several dozen active colonial vectors all with disparate political structures. Nevertheless, any and all visible military activity appears to be internecine in nature.

NOTE: A cluster of Sangheili frontier worlds saw a sudden and anomalous convergence of unregistered ships, largely cruisers of varying classes according to a handful of remote relays stationed nearby. By the time sensors were deployed, the ships were gone. The relays can’t assess numbers or strength, but the readings we have indicate that this wasn’t an expeditionary voyage or something tied to a single state. It appears to have been much larger.

For some reason I feel strongly that Surgeon is Preston Cole.

Couple of interesting things I noticed:

It mentions that the Grunts haven’t had off world travel since Solipsis. I had to look it up and it turns out that it is “a metaphysical position that concludes that the world and other minds do not exist”. It seems the dissolution of the Covenant really tore up the Grunts.

Mentions that most Sangheili fleets are engaged in internecine (civil war) conflicts. Seems like the Sangheili for the most part can now be ruled out of Halo 4 as major players, just fanatical members of the Storm. On this note though, it is interesting that the UNSC is seemingly aware of the arms and ship build up of the Storm due to the reports of the fleets converging seemingly secretly.

Very interesting. Very interesting indeed. Clearly shows the Storm Covenant on the move and “recruiting” to me.

Decades from now, when historians evaluate the war, what will they say about us? Will they claim that our victory was ultimately fruitless? That it failed to secure a lasting peace, or worse, that it was only a prelude to far greater horrors that now lay ahead?

My hope – OUR HOPE – is that history would instead view this war as a catalyst. That the last thirty years were a crucible, a threshing floor for our species, sifting out our fears and frailties. And that ultimately it made us stronger and more vigilant in the end, fully prepared for whatever will come next. After all, what good is struggle if there is no change? What good is a fire if the sword is not made stronger?

Attached are four reports accounting the major contingency structures our species currently faces in the wake of the war. Please evaluate them closely. Their outcomes will dictate how history views us, or if history even views us at all.

Xenomorphic element [2/5]
Martial element [3/5]
Provenancial element [4/5]
Primogeniture element [5/5]

As Machiavelli once said: “the Romans, foreseeing troubles, dealt with them at once, and, even to avoid a war, would not let them come to a head, for they knew that war is not to be avoided, but is only put off to the advantage of others.”

Likewise, we must deal with these issues head-on, without fear and without hesitation. We can afford no other stance.

Did anyone else click the symbol next to “Please remember to take out the garbage” under Section 3?

When you click it, it brings up an image, but I can’t figure out what it is. I’ve looked at it from different angles, but I can’t make it out.

Also of note, the recent email that went out concerning Infinity multiplayer also has a accessible symbol next to Microsoft’s logo, but it just brings up a Forerunner symbol from the terminals. Is there anything notable about that, or did it just relate to last week’s terminal reveal?

I clicked, but only saw one of those IE red Xs indicating the picture wouldn’t load. I wonder if someone could share a screenshot of the image?

Cannot wait to see what kind of attitude the primogeniture report takes!

email symbol is a 3
bulletin symbol is a k
and the one at the end of the MP vidoc is a c
some seem to think they unlock a hidden terminal in Waypoint just like in CEA

Can you elaborate more on these hidden terminals in Waypoint? I must have been out of the loop when these were discovered!

There were 2. The hidden 11th Termianl which was unlocked normally when you got the first 10 anniversary teminals on Waypoint, and then the secret, well hidden 12th terminal that, unfortunately, wasn’t working, probably a placeholder. Translated, it meant WakeUpJohn. So it was related to Halo 4, but soon after we discovered it, what was there(pretty much static if I recall), was taken down.

There is also those unknown symbols as well look in the corner of the image of the one for 3.

SURGEON would be the best disguise artist in history if that were true. But no, that’s quite impossible.

Hey, has anyone else noticed that the boxes around the symbols like like puzzle pieces? If we had the others, we could put them together. So far, we have one from an email, one from a bulletin, and one from a ViDoc. None of them look like end pieces, so we’re still missing those. If there’s 5 pieces, we’re missing two, maybe there’s 4 and we’re only missing one, the possibilities are endless in that regard.

I’ll bet money that a few more of these will appear in the coming weeks and unlock something in the terminals. Perhaps another “prologue”?

Hmm… Soundslike an interesting idea, but it appears that all of the ones we have seen have female cuts versus male ones…

Yeah, I think a few people have mentioned it. I also posted about the puzzle piece idea the other day.

Unkl3’s dropbox link doesn’t work for me, so I made another one. The image includes instructions on how to get the image from the classified.png file, so if you want to figure it out yourself, then don’t click the link.
