Bulletin:No castle maps in Big Team Infinity?

So I read the latest bulletin and unless I’m misunderstanding these upcoming maps will get rotation in a lot of playlists except Big Team Infinity Slayer.

I thought based on the early previews that the consensus was that these were fairly large maps and would definitely get play time in Big Team.

This is disappointing because I was hoping for more variety in Big Team. I know infinity slayer is starving for different maps but these maps seem too big for just 4 vs. 4 matches and I just don’t see good matches here. I mean in the previews they were talking about how these maps really sport vehicle play.

Unless these maps are actually smaller than what they initially appeared to be then it just doesn’t make sense to me. But again even if that’s true why talk about how great these maps are for vehicle combat and then throw them in 4vs.4 matches? Just doesn’t seem like a logical fit unless they scale back on the amount of vehicles.

But we’ll soon find out how it works out I guess.

These three new maps will be six v six, not 4v4…for all the modes listed for the three maps.

It says the Castle Map Pack DLC PLAYLIST will be 6vs.6 and will FEATURE the Infinity Slayer GAMETYPE among other GAMETYPES.

BUT I’m talking about the REGULAR Infinity Slayer PLAYLIST (Note the difference between PLAYLIST and GAMETYPE) . Nowhere in that bulletin does it say that the REGULAR Infinity Slayer PLAYLIST will be transformed into a 6vs.6 PLAYLIST.

As a matter of fact the only regular playlist that will see a 6vs.6 transformation outside of the Castle DLC Playlist is Team Objective.

Daybreak is in the 4v4 lists.

CTF, TO, and Multi-Team will be using the whole pack. I think Castle was meant to address CTF in particular.

Daybreak features a warthog, banshee and ghost on that map. What on earth do we need all of those vehicles in a 4vs.4 match? I already see this map not getting votes the same way complex gets voted against in regicide.

I know I haven’t played the maps yet but Outcast certainly seems like it fits the mold for BTB. It’s a bigger sized map and it has both the Mantis and Wraith. Have these maps been tested out in 8v8 scenarios? I’m not really sure about Perdition but the Daybreak and Outcast both seem like they could have some potential in an 8v8 setting.
