Bulletin 5.15.13: the 'incineration' effect?

Hey there everybody! This topic was created to ask a quick question to everybody here.

I decided to participate in the ‘Screenshot spotlight’ challenge from now on. In the recent bulletin, under the section ‘Halo 4 Screenshot Spotlight – EVA helmet’ it is mentioned, for the next challenge we shall take a picture featuring the ‘incineration’ effect.

Now my question is: what is meant with ‘incineration’ effect???

My guess is, with this effect it is meant the effect which occurs when a Spartan or another enemy is killed by a forerunner weapon and disappears (most prominentaly seen with the Binary Rifle). Usually I refer to this effect as ‘disintegration’, and since english is not my first language, I am not completely sure, if this is the desired effect for the next pictures. But I want to be sure.

Also, since we are talking about it, if you want, you can tell us here your ideas about effect in the Halo 4 theatre, and you can share here, how you (or others) do certain effects in screenshots (glowing, colouring, etc). I am very curious about it and I want to create awesome pictures too somewhen.

Note that we should talk about effects, screenshot and tricks in the theatre of Halo 4 only, since we are in the Halo 4 Forum.

Yes it is. I’ll attempt it, but i doubt i’ll make it, b/c there’s always 3 common players with the best pictures, which i love. Especially the first one on the bulletin. Wonder how they managed to do that, lol.

I’ll attempt it too, and I don’t think either that some of my pictures will be featured, but it’s better to try it than do nothing.
And I think, I know, which players you mean. They were present in Halo: Reach too, and I am a big fan of their pictures.

I guess, somebody specific who choses the pictures has something like a little ‘favourite’-button active on those people xD
Or this person gets cat pictures from them every week :3

It is kills with Forerunner weapons, but I’ve always called it disintegration too, so I can see why you were confused.
