What do you think is necessary?
Playing halo 3 recently, I’ve noticed that there is a lot less and i can definitely feel a loss of skill returning to it.
I do think that it would be good for plasma weapons to perhaps do a little less damage but have more magnetism while the assault rifle has more damage but less magnetism.
At the very least aim assist and bullet magnetism should return to Halo Reach levels. Every time I go back to play Reach it takes me a game or 2 just to get used to aiming again. It’s pretty sad actually.
I logged thousands of multiplayer games, from CE through Halo 4.
Having recently gone back to Halo 3 as part of the games for gold push, I had a chance to reacquaint myself with its bullet magnetism. I find it lacking, and the polar opposite of Halo 4’s uber-magnetism. Of course, the only long distance (non sniper) rifle was the BR, so you’re dealing with an incomplete weapons sandbox.
My vote is that Halo 5 should settle in the middle and take a cue from Reach. Just watch the whole bloom thing… boy did that upset some people.
It needs to be like Halo 3. It was perfect.
Halo: Reach and Halo 4 had too much magnetism, even Halo 2 had quite a bit but strafing was so good in that game, so it wasn’t that bad. Personally I think Halo 3 is the right way to go.
The impression I’m getting is that a compromise between halo 3 and reach would be most effective.
