Right, so as if I didn’t hate the DMR enough (not just for Halo 4, it’s a bland and boring weapon in general) but the bullet magnetism on this thing is crazy. Watch this video. As you can see, the DMR has epic amounts of magnetism, put that together with the fastest kill time (aside from scoped LR) and rate of fire and we have a ridiculous weapon. Now, the main point here, this magnetism means that if your aiming just next to the guy, it will hit. This means that when actually aiming at someone, the bloom does nothing as only the inner circle changes. Personally, I think that decreasing the magnetism greatly and possibly adding in slightly more bloom would balance this out. Also, the video shows that the BR is fine with the current magnetism due to the three round burst and the recoil. Same for the magnum, it is fine. So, with actual proof, the DMR needs some changes. Fact.
The only problem is that most players don’t like bloom. I really don’t care what happens to the dmr as long as it is balanced. But I do feel that bloom or lower rof are the best choices along with less aim assist and bullet magnetism.
Man, I could tell things were whack.
Thanks for the link.
No wonder I am back to H3 already. What a joke.
That DMR… UUUUGH.
I can’t believe anyone ever tries to argue it takes skill. The thing has a much larger room for error than a BR, why in the heck does it kill so much faster? Especially since the BR is incapable of cross mapping nearly as effectively as the DMR. The DMR should be long range pretty much only.
Personally, for me, the best thing that could happen is that the DMR is removed entirely and the Carbine gets a small buff. Never gonna happen, but it would make my day.
I don’t want to ruin anyone’s fun, I doubt many who still play this game woul even care, but I really think everyone needs to see that. That’s really dumb.
