I’ve found that the sword is viable even in mid-range.
In Fiesta on Behemoth, the middle-areas are great for traversal around the rocks and through the lower bridge to get around. And then you can usually surprise the snipers that stick to the corners of the maps aiming at the vehicle spawns because they didn’t notice you come from the basement of the base to come in at them.
The rocky terrain provides cover and allows you to close in on your prey.
My friends and I even have fun of playing Sword Snipers on custom games on Behemoth.
I’m really tenderly asking you not to consider Fiesta for Balance since that’s antithetical to Fiesta’s entire point.
I’m just saying that Fiesta also gives you training for weapons in unusual scenarios. The Sword isn’t on Behemoth and yet it works well there. It gets you used to working with some weapons in ranges that they aren’t usually working with.
Fiesta is of course NOT balanced by any means.
Last time I played I spawned with the AR and Sidekick three times and the enemy team kept having hammers and rockets. NOT A FUN MATCH
FIESTA !
Sometimes it is fun, sometimes it is just the RNG saying “Hey you want to get teabagged by a guy who only won the match with a team point rating of 21/50 because they only spawned with power weapons while you got common stuff like the Commando? No? WELL TOO BAD !”
I just hope Halo Infinite’s Super-Fiesta is different from Halo 5.
“The enemy guy spawned with the Delta Beam Rifle and Prophets Bane? Here have a Silenced Magnum and Gunfighter Magnum… have fun!”
Seriously, Super-Fiesta should ONLY be Super-Weapons. Give me guaranteed chaos and fun !
