So after playing with the bulldog through the flight my brother and I were discussing what we did and didn’t like about the gun. Overall we liked the gun except for one thing, the reloading system. The singular clip reload felt clunky which we didn’t have a problem with, however it did feel like it was maybe punishing the player for reloading. We came up with a suggestion for a work around to that feeling. Taking from the tried and true original shotgun and from some of the reload animations from Battlefield 1, we think that it might be beneficial for the weapon to have 2 separate reloading animations. One for a partially full mag, and one for an empty mag. The empty mag reload could be the same as it is, however if the mag still has ammunition in it then your spartan could have a singular shell reload animation popping shells into a port on the side of the drum mag. This might make the gun feel less punishing for those of us who like to make sure our mag is topped off without having to go through the whole animation of clip reloading, and it would mend some players concerns about the “in the heat of the moment shotgun reloading” that CQB and Infected game modes have come to be known for.
I personally didn’t pay much attention to the reloading of this weapon.
