Bullcrap Spartan Ops Ep 3

Holy crap

Episode 3:
Ch1- Rehashed area from episode 1, which was a rehashed area of the campaign to begin with
Ch2,3,4 - all multiplayer levels
Ch5 - Rehashed area from episode 2, which was also a rehashed area of the campaign the begin with

I understand firefight reused areas from the campaign, but it was just all about survival and holding off one point. Spartan Ops however, is meant to be story driven. The fact that the story has us going through the same damn areas, some of which are from the campaign, is already getting tiresome.

Yes the 6min or so videos on offer are a new experience, but the missions themselves are not.

If this is what Spartan Ops has turned out to be, you might as well have given us back firefight.

I really liked Episode 3. Sure, the maps are recycled, but you can’t honestly expect 343 to create entirely new maps for EVERY SINGLE chapter?

I would like to see some new maps, but recycling is honestly fine with me, so long as the missions have variety.

I don’t care about levels being rehashed as long as the mission structure is good. All I have to say is that Mission 4 is AMAZING!

Hey, it just means I dont need to download every week to enjoy spartan ops :slight_smile: (only have a 12gig download per month :frowning: )

They wouldn’t anyway. This is all on disc content.

I had hoped the years of development would have generated something with a little more variety.

I don’t mind some of it being recycled from campaign, but fighting in areas you’ve cleared out in campaign and cleared out in a previous episode is a little…well unimaginative

Actually it’s all server side. They are also not making these episodes week by week, they were done some time ago. However if they were making the missions week by week that would definitely explain why they all seem half–Yoinked!- (aside from CGI).

I agree. I had no such expectation that they would make new levels for each mission. Rehashing from campaign is A-Ok by me. I actually loved the multiplayer map levels. But what I can’t stand, is when they rehash rehashed Spartan Ops missions. The two cauldron missions made sense. But replaying the same area three times is sorta unacceptable. I can think of several awesome little maps from the campaign that I thought would be cool to play in Spartan Ops. JUST DON’T GIVE US THE SAME LEVEL TWICE IN SPARTAN OPS.
(Please don’t accuse me of being a ‘troll’, I still think Halo 4 is amazing and one of the funnest games I’ve played, I just get frustrated when I see them rehash the same area twice in Sparton Ops.)

People really just don’t understand how annoyingly painful it is to do level designing, let alone level designing that is up to Halo’s standards. There wouldn’t be time to release 5 new maps every week just for this purpose, and it would be a waste of money to do so.

Firefight in ODST/Reach were just ‘rehashes’ of multiplayer maps/campaign maps by the way. :L The only difference is that Halo 4’s reuse of maps is actually given reasons.

These sound like the same complaints that ff have.

I know right? How does this lack of more maps differ in ANY WAY AT ALL to the small number of maps that FF mode had at launch?
